In a step towards promoting regional language education in medical studies, Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh is set to become home to India's first Hindi-medium MBBS college. The institution, expected to commence in the 2027–28 academic session, will offer medical education, examinations, and clinical training entirely in Hindi, making it a historic move in the country's medical education system.
The proposal to set up the Hindi-medium MBBS college was approved in the executive council meeting of Madhya Pradesh Medical University.
ISRO, IN-SPACe Launch Course on Using Space Technology in Agriculture
Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Center (IN-SPACe), in collaboration with ISRO, NCVET and Amity University Noida, Uttar Pradesh, commenced a short-term skill development course titled 'Essentials of Space Technology in Agriculture Sector', aimed at introducing non-governmental entities and academia to the applications of space technology in agriculture.
The week-long course covers topics ranging from remote sensing and satellite data analysis to their direct application in crop monitoring and resource management.

India's First Private AI university Launched in UP
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated India's first private Artificial Intelligence-augmented multidisciplinary university in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao. The university has been set up by Chandigarh University.
According to an official statement, the state is implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in several areas, including education, security, agriculture, administration and industry. The university is expected to support the development of technical skills in the state.

India Wins 3 Gold, 2 Silver at Physics Olympiad in Paris, Ranks 5th Globally
Three Indian students won gold and two silver medals at the 55th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) 2025. The event was held in Paris and featured 415 students from 87 countries.
The gold medal winners from India are Kanishk Jain (Pune, Maharashtra), Snehil Jha (Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh), and Riddhesh Anant Bendale (Indore, Madhya Pradesh). The silver medals were clinched by Aagam Jignesh Shah (Surat, Gujarat) and Rajit Gupta (Kota, Rajasthan).
The news came soon after India won six medals this year and ranked 7th amongst 110 participating countries in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) held in Australia, one of the toughest maths exams on the planet.

The innovation addresses the need for sustainable alternatives to plastic, especially in the automotive sector.
The new material, made from Bambusa tulda -- a fast-growing bamboo species native to Northeast India -- shows excellent strength, thermal stability, low water absorption, and cost-effectiveness.

IIT-Bombay Launches Certificate Programme in Supply Chain Analytics with AI and ML Applications
The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) launched a new certificate course in Supply Chain Analytics with AI and ML applications. Classes will begin in October 2025.
Candidates holding a bachelor's degree from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA are eligible to enroll in this course.
The new programme, offered by the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR), is a six-month course and is launched through Great Learning as the edtech partner.

In a step toward merging digital innovation with humanitarian service, India launched its first dedicated blood donation app, 'Raktsetu,' during a record-setting blood donation drive -- Raktdan Utsav 2025 -- held at Maharaja Agrasen Bhawan, Hisar.
The event was inaugurated by Astro Parduman, a globally respected spiritual leader, astrologer, and healer, whose presence elevated the camp into a spiritual mission.
The app's development and the drive were spearheaded by Ek Kadam Zindagi ki Aur NGO led by founders Manoj Khandelwal and Rakesh Khandelwal, supported by delegate members Vishal and Manmohan Singhla.
Now live on Android, Raktsetu connects donors, hospitals, NGOs, and patients in real time, streamlining emergency responses with digital registration, live donor tracking, and automated alerts.
IIT-Indore Launches 2 New Schools Focused on Sustainability and Biomedical Engineering

The two new schools being launched are: Mehta Family School of Sustainability and the Mehta Family School of Biosciences and Biomedical Engineering.
