India-funded Multi-ethnic Trilingual School Inaugurated in Sri Lanka's Polonnaruwa
A Multi-ethnic Trilingual School built with Indian grant assistance was inaugurated and handed over to the Government of Sri Lanka in Polonnaruwa today. The ceremony was jointly presided over by Sri Lankan Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya and Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha. After inaugurating the school, Amarasuriya thanked the Indian Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Japanese Language Course to Commence at Indo-Japan Chamber
The Language School of the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry will commence a beginners' course in Japanese in November 2025. The online classes will be held every Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The course covers spoken and written Japanese, and lessons on Japanese art, culture, and business etiquette. It aims to equip students with the skills needed to appear for Japan Foundation's JLPT N5 level examination in July 2026.

MSDE, ABCF and BITS Pilani Launch Innovation and Start-up Challenge for NSTI Students
Directorate General of Training (DGT) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship joined hands with Aditya Birla Capital Foundation (ABCF) & Pilani Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Society (PIEDS), the incubator of BITS Pilani, to promote Innovation & Entrepreneurship among students in all National Skills Training Institutes (NSTI) across the country. NSTIs, under the aegis of DGT, provide vocational training to create a pool of Instructor trainees and skilled manpower for industries. At present, there are 33 NSTIs operational in the country, where more than 10,000 students pursuing skill training under the Craft Instructor Training Schemes (CITS) and Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS). There are designated NSTI (W) as well, that specifically focus on women's vocational training.
The innovation challenge has been launched under the title Navonmesh Protsahan Spardha: Kaushalta se Udyamita, with the objective to nurture skill-based innovation in NSTI students. Being a first of its kind innovation challenge, it will cater to 10,000+ NSTI students and will include mentoring, prizes, access to resources, and further incubation, for launching the ideas of students in the market. The focus of the program will be students with innovative ideas in IT/ITeS, Automotive, Apparel, Electronics & Hardware and Power, and Capital Goods & Manufacturing sectors. Pilani Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Society (PIEDS), the incubator of BITS Pilani, would be managing this program, and is being supported under the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives of the Aditya Birla Capital Foundation.

Kerala Signs MoU with Centre to Join PM SHRI Schools Scheme
Kerala signed a memorandum of understanding with the Centre to join the PM SHRI Schools scheme. It was after a prolonged spell of uncertainty that the Kerala government under the Left Democratic Front decided to become a signatory to the Central government's Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme, brushing aside objections raised by key coalition partner CPI.
The scheme aims to develop infrastructure in two schools from each block with Central assistance. Each selected school receives an annual average assistance of Rs. 1 crore for five years.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) – Ahmedabad bagged the 32 position followed by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade) at 71 slot in the global rankings for international trade education with its Master's in Global Management (MGM) programme. The Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University topped, while The National University of Singapore (NUS) followed at the second position and Durham University at third place for its MSc in International Business.
QS Quacquarelli Symonds, released the 2026 edition of the International Trade Rankings, in partnership with the Hinrich Foundation. This edition assessed 106 programmes across 31 countries. Additionally, 30 Executive MBAs are ranked across 14 countries.
University of Cambridge (University of Cambridge) secured number 1 position in the Executive MBA category, while IIM Calcutta has entered the top 10 category securing number 8 rank.
