Bhuwan Ribhu Becomes First Indian Lawyer to Receive World Law Congress Honour for Child Rights

For over two decades, Bhuwan Ribhu has harnessed the rule of law to dismantle systemic violence against children - leading India's fight against child marriage, trafficking, sexual abuse, and forced labour. In May 2025, his relentless efforts were recognised globally as he became the first Indian lawyer to receive the prestigious Medal of Honour from the World Jurist Association at the World Law Congress 2025 in the Dominican Republic. This global recognition is more than a personal honour—it reflects a lifelong journey of dedicated service to children and the strategic use of courts and the rule of law to secure justice for those who have been silenced, exploited, and forgotten. For Ribhu, justice is not just an ideal - it is a daily pursuit.

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Chirag Shetty Receive Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award

Olympians Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty received the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award from Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Mansukh Mandaviya, in Delhi.
The ace badminton pair, who reached the No. 1 rank in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings in 2023 and clinched the Asian Games gold medal in Hangzhou, were shortlisted for the Khel Ratna award in 2023. However, they were unable to receive it due to tournament commitments at the time.

R. Ashwin Awarded Padma Shri by President Droupadi Murmu

Indian cricket spin legend Ravichandran Ashwin was awarded the prestigious Padma Shri by President Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. Ashwin, who retired from international cricket in December 2024, has left an indelible mark on the sport, emerging as one of the finest spin bowlers of his generation.
Pawan Kumar Goenka, an industry veteran with a career spanning decades in sectors ranging from automotive to space, was also conferred with India's fourth highest civilian award Padma Shri, at the ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Goenka has contributed significantly in establishing Mahindra as a global brand.
Goenka is now the Chairman of Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe).

Payal Kapadia Receives Prestigious French Honour

Payal Kapadia, a Mumbai-based filmmaker, received the prestigious 'Officier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres' (Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters) from the French Government.
The filmmaker was celebrated at a ceremony at the French Consulate in Mumbai, where she was conferred with the 'Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters'. This honour places her among the ranks of notable Indian artists, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Lata Mangeshkar.

Maneka Gandhi Honoured by Neurodiversity Foundation with Inaugural Neuro Inclusive Politician Award

In a historic moment for India's neurodiversity movement, the Neurodiversity Foundation presented its first Neuro Inclusive Politician (NIP) Award in India to Maneka Gandhi at a ceremony. The event recognised her groundbreaking work in establishing The National Trust for Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation, and Multiple Disabilities in 1999 - a pivotal step in securing rights for neurodivergent individuals in India.
