"Dragon Ball" Creator Akira Toriyama Has Died

TOKYO — Akira Toriyama, one of the most influential and best-selling manga authors of all time, has died, his studio said Friday. He was 68.
Toriyama died March 1 of a blood clot in his brain, his production company Bird Studio said in a statement on Friday. A funeral service had been held with only his family and a few relatives, it said.
The Japanese author is best known as the creator of the popular Dragon Ball manga series, which has fans across the world and spawned a well-known anime series, video games and films.

Manish Prasad is President and MD for SAP Indian Subcontinent

German technology major SAP appointed Manish Prasad as President and Managing Director for SAP Indian subcontinent. He succeeded Kulmeet Bawa, who took on a global role to drive the growth and adoption of the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) for global customers.
In his new role, Prasad will help advance SAP's move to the cloud, enabling customers across all industries to digitally transform with SAP.
Prasad will be based in Bengaluru and report to Paul Marriott, president of SAP Asia Pacific Japan.

Veteran Congress Leader and Former UP Governor Aziz Qureshi Passes Away

Former Uttar Pradesh Governor and senior Congress leader Aziz Qureshi passed away at the age of 83.
Qureshi had served as the Governor of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Mizoram.
He was first elected as an MLA in 1972 from Sehore seat in Madhya Pradesh and became a Lok Sabha member in 1984.

Ex-Tanzanian President Mwinyi Passes Away

Former Tanzanian President Ali Hassan Mwinyi, credited with ushering the East African nation into free market economics, died at age 98.
Mwinyi took office in 1985, succeeding Tanzania's charismatic founding President, Julius Nyerere, who had led the country to independence from Britain in 1961 and headed a one-party state for 24 years.
