Hinglaj Mata Festival: Famous Fair in Balochistan after Two-year Hiatus

  • The centuries-old annual Hinglaj Mata festival resumed after a break of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic in Pakistan's restive Balochistan province and was attended by devotees from India and other countries.
  • The ancient temple located in the Kund Malir area of Lasbela district in Balochistan is considered one of the largest pilgrimage sites in Hindu civilisation. It is also one of the five ancient Hindu temples across the world.

Sinthan Snow Festival-2023 to Take Place at Sinthan Maidan, Kishtwar, J&K

  • The Sinthan Maidan in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir hosted the two-day Sinthan Snow Festival-2023, organised by the Directorate of Tourism, Jammu, and Kishtwar Tourism Development Authority (KTDA). The event was a collaboration between the District Administration Kishtwar, the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL), and the Army, and drew both locals and tourists alike.
  • The festival showcased a variety of activities, including a Bike Rally, Paragliding, Snow Kayaking, Fun Snow activities, Local cultural performances, and competitions.
