The Ustad Allauddin Khan Festival was held in Maihar Madhya Pradesh. This was the golden jubilee year of this music festival. During the three-day event, many well-known personalities of the country performed at the festival.
The three-day Ustad Allauddin Khan festival was organised jointly by the Madhya Pradesh Culture Department, Ustad Allauddin Khan Music and Art Academy and Maihar District Administration.
Ustad Allauddin Khan was famous in the music world not only in the country but also around the world. He made tireless efforts to promote the music tradition in Madhya Pradesh and connect the new generation with music.

A National Maritime Heritage Complex in Lothal
The Union Cabinet approved the development of the National Maritime Heritage Complex in Gujarat's Lothal.
Union Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the project aims to showcase India's 4,500-year-old diverse maritime heritage. He said that once fully developed, it will be the world's greatest maritime complex, adding that the project is being developed by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
The proposed complex will have several components including a Lighthouse Museum and a five-dimensional theatre offering interactive experiences. It will be completed in two phases.
While the project's Phase 1A is already under implementation with more than 60 per cent physical progress and is planned to be completed by 2025, the Cabinet accorded in-principle approval for Phase 1B and Phase 2, as per the master plan, by raising funds through voluntary resources/ contributions and their execution (will be carried out) after raising of the funds.

PM Narendra Modi Inaugurates Banjara Virasat Museum in Maharashtra
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Banjara Virasat Museum in Pohardevi, Washim, Maharashtra, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Banjara community. The museum, a four-story structure, houses 13 galleries showcasing the legacy of the Banjara community and its leaders. Modi also paid floral tributes to Sant Sevalal Maharaj and Sant Ramrao Maharaj, spiritual icons of the community.
The museum emphasises the community's history, featuring portraits of its leaders and key movements.

Nagaland Gears Up for 25th Hornbill Festival Celebration
The Department of Tourism in Nagaland is set to celebrate the 25th Hornbill Festival, marking its silver jubilee from December 1 to 10, 2024 at the Heritage Village, Kisama. G. Hukugha Sema, Commissioner and Secretary for Tourism, expressed excitement, stating it's going to be a remarkable festival.
The Hornbill Festival came to life in 2000.
The Hornbill Festival is an effort to preserve and protect the diverse cultures of tribal communities by the Government of Nagaland.
The festival is named after the Hornbill bird, which is deeply respected in the state and features prominently in Naga folktales and songs.

US Returns 297 Antiquities, Including 4000-year-old Copper Figure, to India
US returned 297 priceless antiquities, including those artefacts that are almost 4,000 years old and originate in northern part of India.
The Ministry of External Affair said that antiquities that had been stolen or trafficked from India.
The total number of cultural artefacts returned from US to India since 2016 now stands at 578.
In a symbolic handing over, a select few pieces were showcased to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joe Biden on the sidelines of their bilateral meeting in Wilmington, Delaware.
Modi thanked President Biden for his support in the return of these artefacts.
