India and Singapore Sign Memorandum of Understanding on Law and Dispute Resolution
India and Singapore solidified their cooperation in the realm of law and dispute resolution through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by Singapore's Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, and Second Minister for Law Edwin Tong SC and India's Minister for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal.
This agreement aims to bolster collaboration in areas such as international commercial dispute resolution.

Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Appointment of Six Advocates as Judges of Kerala High Court
The Supreme Court collegium recommended six High Court lawyers for appointment as Jjudges of the Kerala High Court. They are Addul Hakkim Mullappally Abdul Azizi, Shyamkumar V. M, Harisankar V. Menon, S. Manu, Eswaran Subramani, and Manoj P. M.
In December 2023, the Chief Justice of the High Court of Kerala in consultation with his two senior-most colleagues recommended the names of the above Advocates for appointment as judges of that High Court. The Chief Minister and the Governor of the State of Kerala concurred with the above proposal.

Justice Satyendra Kumar Singh Sworn in as New Lokayukta of Madhya Pradesh
Justice Satyendra Kumar Singh was appointed as the new Lokayukta (anti-corruption ombudsman) of Madhya Pradesh. He took the oath of office with the ceremony being administered by Governor Mangubhai Patel at Raj Bhavan.
The appointment of Justice Singh as the new Lokayukta faced criticism from the opposition Congress party, which termed the appointment as unconstitutional. Umang Singhar, the Leader of Opposition in the MP Assembly, has written to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, accusing the state government of making the appointment without following the constitutional process.

Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that under Operation Kamdhenu, a comprehensive strategy has been devised to scrutinise the activities of cattle smugglers.
This crackdown aims not only to tackle the immediate smuggling activities but also to target the masterminds behind these illicit operations. The focus is not just on apprehending the immediate perpetrators but also on identifying and registering the names of the main conspirators in the FIR. Additionally, the assets of the accused will be assessed as part of the investigation process.
