Simdega District Hosts First-Ever Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela
For the first time, the district of Simdega in Jharkhand hosted the Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela, a national-level agricultural science fair. The event organised by the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa (New Delhi), was held at the Albert Ekka Stadium from March 10 to 12, 2024, marking a significant stride towards realising the vision of a prosperous farmer community.
The mela aimed to encourage the adoption of modern agricultural techniques and entrepreneurship among farmers. Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda emphasised the government's focus on increasing farmers' incomes through these practices.

ASI Unveils Revamped Website, Sign MoUs under 'Adopt a Heritage 2.0'
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) unveiled its revamped website, with an aim to seek wider engagement of people with the country's rich cultural heritage.
The ASI also signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with various agencies for the adoption of monuments under the 'Adopt a Heritage 2.0' programme.
The revamped website launch event took place at the National Museum and Union Minister for Culture G. Kishan Reddy joined the event virtually.

Sansad Khel Mahakumbh 3.0 Inaugurated in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh
Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur grandly inaugurated the Sansad Khel Mahakumbh 3.0 at the Luhnu Cricket Ground in Bilaspur on March 5, 2024. Chief Guests Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma and Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid graced the occasion as chief guests.
Anurag Thakur cited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Kheloge Toh Khiloge' as the inspiration for organizing the grand event of Mahakumbh. The MP Khel Mahakumbh has become the biggest platform for players from the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency to showcase their talent.
After its two successful editions, Sansad Khel Mahakumbh 3.0 was inaugurated at the Luhnu Cricket Ground in Bilaspur. In the first edition, 40,000 people participated, while the second edition saw 45,000 participants. The target for the third edition is the participation of 75,000 players.

World's Largest Literary Festival-'Sahityotsav' to be Held in March
World's largest literary festival 'Sahityotsav' by Sahitya Akademi will be held from the 11th to 16th of March. The festival commemorating 70 years of Sahitya Akademi will witness the participation of more than a hundred renowned writers and scholars. Sahitya Akademi, Secretary, Dr. K. Sreenivasrao said that over 190 sessions and more than 175 languages of the country will also be represented during the festival.
The highlight of the festival will be the presentation ceremony of the Sahitya Akademi Awards 2023, which will be held on the 12th of March in New Delhi's Kamani Auditorium. The Chief Guest of the Awards Presentation Ceremony will be Pratibha Rai, the distinguished Odia writer. The Samvatsar lecture will be delivered by renowned Urdu writer and lyricist Gulzar on the 13th of March at the Meghdoot open theatre.
