India & Sri Lanka Inaugurate Exhibition 'Geoffrey Bawa' in New Delhi
India's External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, inaugurated the "Geoffrey Bawa: It is Essential To Be There" exhibition at the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi. The exhibition, which is a joint collaboration between the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi, the High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Delhi, and the Geoffrey Bawa Trust, showcases the architectural works of Sri Lanka's renowned architect, the late Geoffrey Bawa.
To commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Sri Lanka, the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi organised the "Geoffrey Bawa: It is Essential To Be There" exhibition. This is the first retrospective international exhibition of Bawa's architectural works since 2004, following exhibitions in Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, North America, Australia, Brazil, Singapore, and Germany.

Ministry of Jal Shakti Recommends 75 Water Heritage Sites
The Ministry of Jal Shakti had constituted a Committee to identify 75 Water Heritage Structure (WHS) in reference to 75 years of India's Independence.
The Committee recommended 75 water heritage structures, which include 5 Water Heritage structures from Gujarat and 4 Water Heritage structures from Andhra Pradesh respectively.
The maximum number of Water Heritage Structures were selected from Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu with 7 each. They were followed by Madhya Pradesh 6, Gujarat and Karnataks with 5 each.
In this connection, the "Jal-Itihas" sub-portal under the India-WRIS portal, showcasing the 75 WHS, was launched at the 1st All India State Ministers Conference on Water at Bhopal.
Jal Itihaas showcases some selected water heritage structures more than 100 years old.
India-WRIS portal is a web-enabled Water Resources Information System popularly known as India-WRIS.
It was initiated through a Memorandum of Understanding between the Central Water Commission (CWC), the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation (now Ministry of Jal Shakti) and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

Thousands of pilgrims watched 'Huranga" being played in Dau Ji temple in Baldeo town, Mathura.
Celebrated after Holi, Huranga festival is marked with strange rituals—men trying to drench women with water colours, and the women reciprocating by tearing off the wet clothes of the men and then whipping them with it.
Huranga is traditionally played between "bhabhis" and "devars" (sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law).
