FSSAI Gives 'Eat Right Station' Certificate to 150 Railway Stations

Ensuring access to safe and nutritious food options for millions of rail passengers, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) awarded its prestigious 'Eat Right Station' certification to 150 railway stations.
The 'Eat Right Station' certification process involves stringent audits of food vendors, comprehensive training programs for food handlers, and strict adherence to hygiene and sanitation protocols. According to the Health Ministry, stations that successfully meet these criteria are recognised for their efforts in promoting informed food choices and awarded the 'Eat Right Station' certification.
In addition to railway stations, six prominent metro stations across the country were also accredited as Eat Right Stations. Notable among them are stations at Noida Sector 51, Esplanade in Kolkata, IIT Kanpur, Botanical Garden in Noida, and Noida Electronic City Metro Station.

PM Modi Launches 1st Made in India Green H2 Fuel Cell Inland Waterway Vessel

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated various other projects aimed at making the V. O. Chidambaranar Port as the first Green Hydrogen Hub Port of the country. These projects include desalination plant, hydrogen production and bunkering facility etc.
The Prime Minister also launched India's first indigenous green hydrogen fuel cell inland waterway vessel under Harit Nauka initiative.
The hydrogen-fuelled electric vessels project is part of India's transformative efforts on the innovative and new technology front on green energy and sustainable cost-effective alternate fuel front. Hydrogen fuel cells can be used in a wide range of applications, including transportation, material handling, stationary, portable, and emergency backup power applications.

Dubai Rolls Out 5-Year Multiple Entry Visa for Indian Tourists

According to the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Dubai introduced a five-year multiple-entry visa to boost travel between India and the Gulf nation.
In 2023, Dubai welcomed 2.46 million overnight visitors from India, which is a 25 per cent increase from the pre-pandemic era. This made the country the number one source market, according to the latest data from DET.
This step ensures that the visa, issued within 2-5 working days upon receiving and accepting the service request, allows its holder to stay in the country for 90 days, extendable once for a similar period, with a total stay not exceeding 180 days in one year.
