Double Olympic Champion Laura Dahlmeier Dies

Laura Dahlmeier, the German double Olympic champion and seven-time world champion in biathlon, passed away at the age of 31 following a mountaineering accident in Pakistan's Karakoram range. Known both for her historic achievements on the biathlon track and her passion for mountaineering, Dahlmeier's untimely death has left fans and fellow athletes devastated.

Pramilatai Medhe Passes Away

Pramilatai Medhe, former Pramukh Sanchalika of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti, passed away at the age of 97 in Nagpur. A stalwart of the women's wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), she was known for her tireless dedication to nation-building and service. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat expressed sorrow over her demise, describing her as a "living example of unwavering commitment, tireless work, and deep affection in conduct."
She was the fourth sanchalika of the organisation.

Renowned economist, author, and member of the UK House of Lords, Lord Meghnad Desai passed away at the age of 85, leaving behind a rich legacy of scholarship, public service, and enduring contributions to India-UK relations.
In 1991, Desai was appointed to the House of Lords, becoming the first Indian-origin peer from the Labour Party. Mangalore Girl Creates World Record with 170-Hour Bharatanatyam Performance

In a historic achievement blending faith, culture, and endurance, Remona Evette Pereira, a 20-year-old Catholic student from Mangalore, entered the Golden Book of World Records by performing Bharatanatyam, the ancient Indian classical dance form, continuously for 170 hours. Her extraordinary feat has set a new benchmark in the world of performing arts.
She broke the previous record of 127 hours set in 2023 by 16-year-old Sudhir Jagpath.
