World Patient Safety Day is observed every year on September 17 to create awareness about different safety measures that should be taken to ensure patient safety. The day is celebrated to create global awareness about patient safety, increase or enhance public engagement in patient safety, and create action plans to overcome the issues of patient harm.
World Patient Safety Day was established in May 2019 when the 72nd World Health Assembly.
The theme for World Patient Safety Day 2023 is 'Engaging patients for patient safety', in recognition of the crucial role patients, families and caregivers play in the safety of health care.

World Ozone Day
International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer (informally and simply called World Ozone Day) is celebrated on September 16 designed by the United Nations General Assembly.
The history of World Ozone Day is very eminent. A resolution was initiated and accepted in the Vienna Convention to protect the Ozone Layer on 22 March, 1985. This resolution has been initiated after discovering a hole through the Ozone Layer. With the adoption of the resolution, the Montreal Protocol on Substances which exhausts the Ozone Layer was implemented on September 16, 1987. In 1994, the UN General Assembly proclaimed September 16 as World Ozone Day.
Every year World Ozone Day signifies a theme to fulfil it with dignity. This time the theme for World Ozone Day 2023 theme is 'Montreal Protocol: Fixing the Ozone layer and reducing climate change'.
International Red Panda Day
Every year, International Red Panda Day is celebrated on the third Saturday in September — September 16 in 2023 — to spread awareness regarding yet another species that is near extinction.
The day was launched by the Red Panda Network in 2010, and the first International Red Panda Day was celebrated in September that very year (2010). Since then, the need to continue honouring the day has only increased due to global warming and climate change.

National Engineer's Day (India)

He was born on September 15, 1861, and is widely regarded as a pioneering engineer and statesman who made significant contributions to the development of India. Visvesvaraya was a civil engineer, statesman, and philanthropist who made significant contributions to the development of the country. He is credited with designing and building several iconic structures, including the Krishna Raja Sagara Dam, the Mysore Palace, and the Bangalore Water Supply Scheme.
The government first declared September 15 as National Engineers' Day in 1968. The day is celebrated by engineers across India to honour Visvesvaraya's legacy and to recognize the contributions of all engineers to society.

Hindi Diwas
Hindi Diwas is celebrated on September 14 every year in India.
The history of Hindi Diwas dates back to the early days of the Indian independence movement. In 1918, a group of Hindi scholars and activists formed the Hindi Sahitya Sammelan (Hindi Literary Conference) to promote the use of Hindi as a national language. The Sammelan played a key role in the adoption of Hindi as the official language of India.

United Nations Day for South-South Cooperation

This led to the establishment of the United Nations Development Program in 1965 and, in 1974, the creation of the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation as a key UN body responsible for coordinating various cooperation efforts.
The theme for 2023 is 'Solidarity, Equity and Partnership: Unlocking South-South Cooperation to Achieve the SDGs'.
