Book on RSS service released by Vice President

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan released the book A Century of Service – The RSS in 100 Acts of Seva at Uprashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, on 15 September 2026. The work is authored by Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, former Governor of Telangana and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. The Vice President's Secretariat describes the volume as a documentary record of 100 examples of service linked to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) during its hundred-year history. The book captures civic, social and charitable activities associated with the organization, offering readers a guided look at volunteer work in public life. The event highlighted ongoing interest in RSS-linked community service.

Kumik Declared Ladakh’s First Heritage Village

Kumik village in Zanskar, Ladakh, has been declared the Union Territory’s first Heritage Village. The designation honors its traditional architecture, Buddhist Kanjur manuscripts, farming practices, and unique cultural traditions. The announcement was made on 15 September 2026 by Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena during the Ladakh Zanskar Festival. Heritage Village status aims to promote sustainable tourism and preserve indigenous knowledge while enabling local communities to benefit from cultural preservation. Officials say the designation will encourage investment in the upkeep of historic structures and manuscript documentation, aligning with broader efforts to safeguard cultural diversity in the region.

Ganesh Gyanarthi Exhibition inaugurated in Mumbai

Vice President releases Bhupen Hazarika biography in Assam

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan released Bhupen Hazarika: Hundred Years of a Wandering Songs at Gauhati University, Assam, in September 2026.
