The Rajasthan Assembly passed the Rajasthan Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2022, which proposes that the registration of companies would not be cancelled even if they fail to file the return for six months.
The system of issuing credit notes will also start.

Govt. Approves PLI Scheme for Manufacturing Solar PV Modules
The Cabinet approved a Rs. 19,500-crore production linked incentive (PLI) scheme on 'national programme on high efficiency solar PV modules' with an aim to attract Rs. 94,000 crore investment in the sector.
One of the benefits expected from the PLI scheme is that about 65,000 MW per annum manufacturing capacity of fully and partially integrated solar PV modules would be installed.
The national programme aims to build an ecosystem for manufacturing of high efficiency solar PV modules in India and reduce import dependence in the area of renewable energy.
The initiative is expected to reduce import substitution of about Rs 1.37 lakh crore.

Cabinet Approves National Logistics Policy for 'Tech-enabled' Ecosystem
The Union Cabinet approved the National Logistics Policy (NLP) that aims to enable seamless movement of goods across the country as well as improve the competitiveness of Indian goods in the domestic and export markets.
The policy has three targets: to reduce the cost of logistics in India to be comparable to global benchmarks by 2030, improve the global Logistics Performance Index ranking, and create a data-driven decision support mechanism.
India's logistics cost as a proportion of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is believed to be around 13-14 per cent. The government now aims to bring it down to single digits as soon as possible.
