Atal Innovation Mission Launches ATL Sarthi

Atal Innovation Mission – NITI Aayog launched ATL Sarthi, a comprehensive self-monitoring framework to strengthen the ecosystem of Atal Tinkering Labs. NITI Aayog has said that Atal Innovation Mission is establishing Atal Tinkering Laboratories in schools across the country to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds. Atal Tinkering Labs Sarthi is a charioteer and it will enable the Atal Tinkering Labs to be efficient and effective.
Mission Director Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog Dr. Chintan Vaishnav said that Atal Innovation Mission aims to foster millions of young innovators in India by setting up Atal Tinkering Labs in schools. He said, to further improve their performance, Atal Innovation Mission has launched ATL Sarthi. He said, it will provide a monitoring and evaluation framework to enhance the performance of Atal Tinkering Labs.

Uttarakhand First State to Start Insurance Scheme for Sericulturists

Uttarakhand became the first state in the country to start 'Resham Keet Bima' scheme for protecting its sericulturists.
Under the pilot project, which started from Uttarakhand, in the first phase, 200 sericulturists from five blocks of four districts, Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital, were insured from the ill effects of climate change, scarcity of water and other hazards.

Odisha Announces Livelihood Scheme for Tribals

The Odisha government announced a new livelihood and income-generating scheme for the tribal people with an outlay of Rs. 500 crore.
The ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare department will implement the livelihood cluster development initiative under Mukhya Mantri Janajati Jeebika Mission.
The state-funded scheme will be implemented in 119 tribal sub-plan (TSP) blocks of the state through 22 integrated tribal development agencies (ITDAs) over a period of three years (2023-24 to 2025-26).
This new initiative will supplement the Odisha government's vision of improving the lives and livelihoods of the tribal communities in the state by enhancing their economic power and strengthening their sources of livelihood.

President Droupadi Murmu Approves these Punjab, Telangana Bills

A Punjab bill which aims at giving property rights to more than 11,200 tenants occupying over 4,000 acres of land after paying due compensation received presidential assent.
President Droupadi Murmu also gave her assent to a Telangana bill which allows imposition of fine on people standing surety for securing bail in cases of grave offences if he or she fails to produce the accused on the date fixed by the court.
The Punjab Bhondedar, Butemar, Dohlidar, Insar Miadi, Mukarraridar, Mundhimar, Panahi Qadeem, Saunjidar, or Taraddadkar (Vesting of Proprietary Rights) Bill, 2020 was passed by the Punjab assembly when the Congress government was in power in 2020.
The legislation was later approved by the Aam Aadmi Party government.
The Code of Criminal Procedure (Telangana Amendment) Bill, 2020 was introduced by the K. Chandrashekhar Rao government.
The amendment was introduced after a state-level judicial officers' conference in 2016 suggested it.
The legislation allows imposition of fine on people standing surety for securing bail in cases of grave offences if he or she fails to produce the accused on the date fixed by the court.

Maharashtra to Introduce 4th Women's Policy

Maharashtra's new women's policy would be introduced during the Budget session of the state legislature.
Women and Child Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha made the announcement in the Legislative Assembly while replying to a debate on the issue.
The debate on women's policy had been initiated in the House to mark International Women's Day.
The state government will take note of all the suggestions put forth by the MLAs with regard to welfare, security and empowerment of women. The government will also table its performance report on decisions related to women empowerment regularly. The new policy will be practical.
A 'janata durbar' will be held for women at the district level every month where 50 complaints will be taken up. A women's bazaar to promote products of Self-Help Groups has also been proposed every month in all districts.

Uttarakhand to Launch Self-employment Scheme for Single Women

Uttarakhand will soon roll out a self-employment scheme for single women, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said.
At the conclusion of Women Empowerment and Security Week, he said that women have proven themselves in every field and are working shoulder to shoulder with men.
