Sat Sharma is J&K BJP President

The BJP leadership appointed Sat Sharma as president of the party's Jammu and Kashmir unit, replacing Ravinder Raina.
As per reports, Raina was made a member of its national executive.
Sharma has been at the helm earlier as well and is an experienced organisation person.

'One District One Product' Promoted by Piyush Goyal during Riyadh Visit

Union Minister Piyush Goyal, on a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia, inaugurated the "One District One Product" (ODOP) Wall at the Indian Embassy.

Rajesh Kumar Singh Takes Charge as New Defence Secretary in South Block

Rajesh Kumar Singh, a distinguished 1989-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Kerala cadre, officially took charge as the Defence Secretary at South Block, New Delhi. Singh succeeded Giridhar Aramane, the 1988-batch IAS officer from the Andhra Pradesh cadre, who retired from his service on October 31, 2024, after serving a notable two-year term in this crucial role.

Indian Railways Renews MoU with Switzerland for Advanced Infrastructure Modernisation

Indian Railways renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Switzerland's Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC) to deepen technical collaboration, targeting infrastructure modernisation and operational efficiency. Greenpeace Report: 77% of Women Feel Unsafe on Delhi Buses After Dark

India's first 'Writer's Village' was inaugurated in Dehradun by former President Ram Nath Kovind, along with Uttarakhand Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmeet Singh (retd) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Vipin Kumar Assumes Role as Chairman of Airports Authority of India

Vipin Kumar, an IAS officer from the 1996 Bihar cadre, officially assumed the role of Chairman at the Airports Authority of India (AAI). Before his appointment to AAI, Kumar served as Additional Secretary in the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, where he oversaw key initiatives such as the Samagra Shiksha Scheme, National Education Policy-2020, and the PM-SHRI Scheme. He has also held several prominent roles in Bihar, including District Magistrate across multiple districts, Chairman of Bihar Bridge Construction Corporation, Managing Director of Bihar Milk Cooperative Federation (SUDHA), and Director of the Mid-Day Scheme in Bihar.
Founded in 1995, the Airports Authority of India was created through the Airports Authority of India Act, 1994 under the aegis of the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
