Hero MotoCorp Appoints Movie Star Ram Charan New Brand Ambassador

The Hero MotoCrop appointed actor Ram Charan as the new brand ambassador. Hero MotoCrop, the country's largest two-wheeler maker launched the Hero GIFT Programme. The Hero GIFT stands for the Grand Indian Festival of Trust. This initiative includes exciting model refreshers, retail benefits, several financing schemes, pre-booking offers, and many more.
The customers will get HF Deluxe in festive gold stripes and pleasure+ XTEC in Pole Star Blue.
The festive portfolio would also include the eye-catching Xtreme 160R stealth 2.0 edition.

Suzlon Founder Tulsi Tanti Passes Away

Tulsi Tantia, the founder and chairman of Suzlon Energy, passed away. He was 64.
In 1995, Tanti formed Suzlon and with the help of a German firm, the company began designing wind turbine generators (WTGs) and, in March 1996, commissioned its first 0.27 MW wind generator for Indian Petrochemicals Ltd (now Reliance Industries) in the state.

Veteran Congress Leader Jayanti Patnaik Passes Away

Four time Congress MP and first chairperson of National Commission for Women (NCW), Jayanti Patnaik passed away. She was 90.
Jayanti was elected from Cuttack and Berhampur Lok Sabha constituencies in 1981, 1984 and 1998.
She was nominated to Rajya Sabha in 1996.
She was also the second chairperson of All India Mahila Congress.

Max Life Insurance Ropes in Rohit Sharma and wife Ritika Sajdeh as Brand Ambassadors

Max Life Insurance announced Indian men's cricket team captain and star player, Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh as their new brand ambassadors under a two year partnership agreement.
This will be the first time the two will make an on-screen appearance together. The company plans to target the millennial audience and convey the importance of having life insurance and build and enhance the importance of financial preparedness and protection through this strategic alliance.
Max Life Insurance, which forayed into the pension fund management business, has also been focusing strongly on its protection offerings against uncertainties as well as providing long term savings options and benefits to help build and strengthen the financial stability of families.

Lava International Signs Actor Kartik Aaryan Brand Ambassador

Domestic handset maker Lava International signed Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan as its brand ambassador. Aaryan would endorse Lava's smartphones category. The home-grown brand would launch a 360-degree marketing campaign with the actor soon.
Apart from the new marketing campaign featuring the Bollywood actror, Lava is also set to launch its new range of smartphones.

Comedian Raju Srivastava Dies

Comedian Raju Srivastava died in September 2022 at the age of 58, after 41 days of hospitalisation.
Raju was in the entertainment industry since the 1980s and shot to fame after participating in the first season of the reality stand-up comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005.
He has also appeared in supporting roles in Hindi films such as Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, the remake of Bombay to Goa and Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya. He was the chairman of the Film Development Council Uttar Pradesh.

Soviet Cosmonaut Valery Polyakov Passes Away

Valery Polyakov, the Soviet cosmonaut who set the record for the longest single stay in space, died at age 80. Polyakov's record of 437 days in space began Jan. 8, 1994, when he and two others blasted off on a two-day flight to the Soviet space station Mir.
While aboard Mir, he orbited the Earth more than 7,000 times, before returning March 22, 1995.
Polyakov previously had spent 288 days in space on a mission in 1988-89.
