Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) launched a Strategic Product Management (SPM) programme to empower aspiring professionals and freshers to become future-ready product leaders. The five-month program aims to empower learners with end-to-end product thinking, from ideation to go-to-market execution, through live online classes and a three-day campus immersion at IIT Roorkee.
Candidates with a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks are eligible to apply for the course.
JNU Suspends MoU with Turkish University Citing National Security Concerns
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) suspended its academic cooperation with Inonu University in Malatya, Turkey over national security concerns. The action followed a re-examination of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions. The step was taken after reports emerged linking Turkey to the India-Pakistan conflict, with defence sources stating that drones and security personnel were sent to Pakistan by Turkey.
The Memorandum of Understanding, signed on February 3, 2025, was set to remain in effect for three years.

Ambedkar University Delhi Announces MA in Pol Science, D Litt Programme
The Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) announced the launch of two new academic programmes — Master's in political science and Doctor of Literature (D.Litt) — for the 2025-26 academic year.
AUD vice-chancellor Anu Singh Lather also unveiled the university's admission brochure for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
A total of 1,123 undergraduate and 1,491 postgraduate seats are on offer this year.
IIM Raipur, Chhattisgarh Government Launches fully-funded MBA in Public Policy and Governance
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, a leading Indian institution, launched a two-year MBA in Public Policy and Governance under the Chief Minister's Good Governance Fellowship (CMGGF). The program is designed to nurture future leaders in public policy by blending academic excellence to build impactful careers in government, public sector enterprises, and policy think tanks.
The Chhattisgarh government will fully sponsor the program by covering the fees for all the enrolled students, and provide a monthly stipend of Rs. 50,000 to support the academic pursuits, studies, along with boarding and lodging during academic sessions at IIM Raipur.

Illinois Tech To Become First US University to Set up Degree cAmpus in India
In a first for the country, Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech), Chicago's only tech-focused university, received the green light from India's University Grants Commission (UGC) to set up a full-fledged degree-granting campus in India. The Illinois Tech Mumbai campus is scheduled to open in 2026, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in computer science, engineering, and business.
This move makes Illinois Tech the first US university to be approved for an independent degree-awarding presence in India under the UGC's latest foreign campus regulations. Courses will follow the same experiential and industry-aligned curriculum as in Chicago, with internationally recruited faculty and visiting professors from the US.

West Bengal Becomes First State to Adopt Semester System in Class 12 Board Exams
West Bengal became the first state in India to fully move to a semester-based exam system for its Class 12 (Higher Secondary) board exams. The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) confirmed that from the 2025-26 academic session, students will no longer follow the annual exam format, which had been in place since 1978.
