Indian armed forces arrive in Seychelles for LAMITIYE-2026 joint exercise

An Indian Armed Forces contingent arrived in Seychelles to participate in the Eleventh edition of Joint Military Exercise LAMITIYE-2026 with the Seychelles Defence Forces. The exercise will commence at the Seychelles Defence Academy from today and continue until 20 March 2026. It aims to enhance synergy in sub-conventional operations in a semi-urban environment and to strengthen cooperation and interoperability between both nations during peacekeeping operations. MoD Signs ₹5,083 Crore Defence Deals (ALH Mk-III & VL-Shtil)

On 3 March 2026, India's Ministry of Defence signed contracts worth ₹5,083 crore to bolster maritime and air defense. B.P. Singh takes charge as DG Naval Armament at Naval HQ

Shri B.P. Singh took charge as Director General of Naval Armament (DGONA) at the Naval Headquarters in New Delhi on 1 March 2026. A senior officer from the 1994 batch of the Indian Naval Armament Service, he succeeds Shri Divakar Jayant, who retired on 28 February 2026. With more than three decades of experience in naval armament management, procurement, and logistics, Singh will oversee weapon systems and ammunition logistics across the Indian Navy. DRDO conducts three flight trials of VSHORADS off Odisha coast; induction planned

The Defence Research and Development Organisation conducted three consecutive flight trials of the indigenous Very Short Range Air Defence System, VSHORADS, off the coast of Odisha. Agni Pariksha joint exercise conducted by Indian Army and ITBP in Arunachal Pradesh
