Global Wind Day

Global Wind Day 2025 is observed all over the world on June 15. On June 15, this day is celebrated all over the world annually and it is marked as a day of discovering the possibilities of wind power.
In 2007, The European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) organised the first Wind Day.
In 2009 the EWEA joined forces with the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and made it a worldwide event.

Father's Day

Father's Day is celebrated annually on the third Sunday of June. This year (2025) it falls on June 15.
While many countries, including India, celebrate the festival on the third Sunday of June, a few other countries like Croatia, Italy, Portugal, and Spain have already observed Father's Day on March 19.

World Blood Donor Day

Every year, the world observes World Blood Donor Day on June 14 to raise awareness about the importance of donating blood and supporting communities.
The World Health Assembly designated June 14 as World Blood Donor Day in 2004. This day honours the birth anniversary of Karl Landsteiner and serves as a global campaign to promote blood donation and ensure a safe and adequate blood supply for everyone.

International Albinism Awareness Day

International Albinism Awareness Day is observed annually on June 13 to raise awareness about the rights and challenges faced by people with albinism. Established by the United Nations, the day aims to promote equality, safety, and dignity for individuals affected by this genetic condition, while dispelling widespread myths and misconceptions.
UN General Assembly in 2014 declared June 13 as International Albinism Awareness Day.
The first International Albinism Awareness Day was observed in 2015.

World Day Against Child Labour

On June 12, the World Day Against Child Labour is observed. Its objective is to spark the growing global movement against child labour.
The International Labour Organisation (ILO) celebrated the first World Day Against Child Labour on June 12, 2002, at its headquarters in Geneva, which had been established the day before. The purpose of World Day Against Child Labour is to promote and broaden the global call to end child labour.

World Brain Tumour Day

World Brain Tumour Day is observed every year on June 8 to raise awareness about brain tumours, one of the most serious and complex medical conditions.
World Brain Tumour Day was started in the year 2000 by the German Brain Tumour Association (Deutsche Hirntumorhilfe e.V.) This non-profit organization created the day to support patients and spread public awareness. Since then, June 8 has been observed as World Brain Tumour Day in many countries through events, fundraisers and educational programs.

World Oceans Day

Every year, World Oceans Day is observed on June 8.
In 1992, World Oceans Day was proposed at the Earth Summit that took place in Rio De Janeiro. On December 5, 2008, The UN General Assembly designated June 8 to be observed as World Oceans Day every year. The day was established with the intention of creating awareness about the connection of human beings with the oceans. Every year, The UN Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea organises events to create public awareness.
The theme for World Oceans Day 2025 is 'Wonder: Sustaining What Sustains Us.'
