RRR Wins Best International Film Award at 50th Saturn Awards

S.S. Rajamouli directorial RRR won the Best International Film award at the 50th Saturn Awards held in Los Angeles. It was nominated in multiple categories, including Best International Film, Best Action Adventure and Best Director.
Saturn Awards are presented by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films, awarding films in science fiction, fantasy, horror, and other genres belonging to genre fiction in films, TV, as well as streaming. RRR beat titles like Downton Abbey: A New Era, Eiffel, I'm Your Man, Riders of Justice, and Silent Night to take home the award for the best international film at the 2022 awards.

U.P. Bags Top Honours at PMAY-U Awards 2021

According to Union Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri , over half the homes sanctioned under the BJP-led Centre's flagship Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U) housing scheme have been delivered and the rest are under various stages of completion.
Mr. Puri's comments came on the sidelines of the PMAY-U Awards 2021 — scheduled annually to recognise the contribution of States, Union Territories and urban local bodies with regard to the implementation of the scheme.
In the awards, Uttar Pradesh bagged the first position followed by Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu at second and third place, respectively.
PMAY-U scheme is aimed at confronting and tiding over the shortage of housing facilities in urban India for beneficiaries under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Low-Income Groups (LIGs) and Middle Income Groups (MIGs) categories.

Karnataka Bank Wins Digital Transformation Award

Karnataka Bank was awarded the National Digital Transformation Awards, DX 2022 Awards, by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for best practice in digital transformation under the BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance) segment.
The awards recognise 'innovative excellence' in three categories: employee engagement, operational excellence, and customer experience.

HCL Founder Shiv Nadar Gets USISPF's Lifetime Achievement Award 2022

HCL founder Shiv Nadar was honoured by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), a bilateral non-profit, with its Lifetime Achievement Award 2022 for his contribution to the technology industry and philanthropy.
The billionaire's Shiv Nadar Foundation invested $1.1 billion in philanthropic initiatives, particularly in education. The USISPF said that HCL has been an IT services leader for over 45 years and is at the forefront of the technological revolution since 1976.
The USISPF was established in 2017 to strengthen US-India bilateral and strategic partnership. It also works on improving economic and commercial ties between the two countries through policy advocacy.

EU Parliament Awards Sakharov Prize to People of Ukraine

The European parliament awarded the people of Ukraine its annual Sakharov Prize for freedom of thought to honour their fight against Russia's invasion.
The award comes with prize money of €50,000 (£43,560), which would be distributed to representatives of Ukrainian civil society.
The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, expressed gratitude for the EU's support.
The EU award, named for Soviet dissident Andrei Sakharov, was created in 1988 to honour individuals or groups who defend human rights and fundamental freedoms.
