The International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Government of India, will celebrate Ashadha Purnima on 3 July, 2023 as the Dharma Chakra Pravartana Divas at National Museum, Janpath, New Delhi. It is the annual flagship event of IBC and the second most sacred day for Buddhists after the Buddha Purnima or the Vaishakha Purnima.
A video address by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu will be presented at the programme. The programme highlight will be the screening of the film on IBC's special project in Lumbini (Nepal) – "India International Centre for Buddhist Culture and Heritage". Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the Centre at Lumbini in Nepal last year on Buddh Purnima.
The programme will include Dhamma talk on the Significance of Ashadha Purnima by His Holiness 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa and the Special Address by Minister of Culture and External Affairs Smt. Meenakashi Lekhi. Many other dignitaries and Patriarchs of Buddhist Sanghas, eminent Masters, Scholars, and diplomatic representatives based in New Delhi will be participating in the event.

PM inaugurates 6th Edition of One Earth One Health.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and addressed the One Earth One Health – Advantage Healthcare India – 2023 conference at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi via video conferencing. The conference was attended by health ministers from across the world, as well as delegates from West Asia, SAARC, ASEAN, and African regions. In his address, PM Modi emphasized the importance of holistic healthcare and a healthy ecosystem for human well-being.
PM Modi underlined that One Earth One Health follows the same set of beliefs and is an example of the same thought in action. The vision extends to the whole ecosystem, including plants, animals, soil, and rivers, emphasizing that when everything around us is healthy, we can be healthy too. This holistic approach to healthcare is important for the well-being of individuals and the planet as a whole.

He realized the importance of resilient global healthcare systems in fulfilling this vision. Ayush Ministry to hold 'Yoga Mahotsav' in Dibrugarh on April 7: Sarbananda Sonowal
The Ministry of Ayush is organising the 'Yoga Mahotsav' on April 7, 2023 to commemorate the 75 days to International Day of Yoga at Dibrugarh University campus. The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal today visited the site at Dibrugarh University to take stock of the preparation for the event. The state Health Minister, Keshab Mahanta along with senior officials of Ministry of Ayush along with the district administration of Dibrugarh accompanied during the visit here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Ayush Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal said, "It is a moment of great pride as our beautiful Dibrugarh gets ready to host one of the biggest Yoga events in the country on April 7, 2023. It is a wonderful connection that we also celebrate the World Health Day on the same day, which ultimately is to create a conduit for the humanity to live better, healthier & happier. Yoga can do that. Due to the consistent effort of PM Shri Narendra Modi ji, yoga has become worldwide movement towards achieving better health & mind. True to our heritage, India remains committed for every effort to further this journey of Yoga as it becomes the elixir for quality human lives. Yoga has brought the world together for a better tomorrow. The Yoga Mahotsav aims to promote inclusivity and celebrate diversity by involving different segments of society in activities that promote health. The Union Minister also interacted with the students of the University along with the Health Minister and Prof Jiten Hazarika, Vice Chancellor, Dibrugarh University among others. The discussions ranged on different topics ranging from importance of Ayush in improving our lives to the opportunities created for the benefit of the students in further their role in the nation building. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also called upon the students to take active part in the successful hosting of the Yoga Mahotsav.

Manipur Celebrates Amur Falcon Festival
The Manipur Forest Authority celebrated the 7th edition of the Amur Falcon Festival in Tamenglong district, Imphal. The objective of the Amur Falcon Festival was to spread awareness about the protection and conservation of the Amur Falcon.
Amur Falcon is the world's longest-flying migratory bird. It is a day-long festival that is generally celebrated in the first or second week of November to strengthen human-nature relationships and acknowledge the importance of the small raptor in the lives of people. The first edition of the Amur Falcon Festival was celebrated in 2015.
The Amur Falcon Festival was attended by Forest, environment, and climate change minister, Thongam Biswajit Singh, water resources minister, Awangbow Newmai, and Principal Chief conservator of forest & head of forest force, Dr. AK Joshi.
Through this Amur Falcon Festival people from various backgrounds come together and share their thoughts and ideas.
The Amur Falcon Festival is also a medium to encourage all the stakeholders in protecting the species but also make the present generation feel compassionate about the Amur Falcon and the wildlife.

Puducherry LG Inaugurated Beach Festival Sea PONDY-2022
Lieutenant Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan inaugurated the Puducherry's first-ever Beach Festival I Sea PONDY-2022 in the presence of the Chief Minister N. Rangasamy.
The festival will be celebrated for four days in Puducherry Gandhi Beach, Pondy Marina and Sandunes of Paradise Beach. Various cultural events and contests were held during the festival.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Tamilisai said that the UT Administration is making all efforts to make Puducherry BEST as envisaged by the Prime Minister during his visit to the Union Territory.
