Adani Airports Launches 'Aviio' for Real-Time Airport Data
Adani Airports Holdings Limited (AAHL) launched an application 'Aviio' for the future Airport ecosystem, which generally provides real time information like waiting times, gate change, baggage updates etc, this will enhance airport operations.
Aviio aspires to bring the aviation community together to collaborate and serve passengers better.
Passengers can expect easier access to airport information in the form of updates related to security checks, wait times, gate change and bags on belts, among other aspects.
Aviio' encompasses the development of a cutting-edge Smart Airport Operations System, conceived as a replicable model of an 'Airport-in-a-Box'

Delhi Airport Ranks 24th among Top 'Megahub' Airports Globally
Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) was ranked among the top 25 "megahub" airports globally by international aviation data and analytics firm OAG. IGIA improved its position to the 24th spot from last year's 25th in OAG's latest list of megahub airports—those with the highest ratio of possible scheduled international connections to the number of destinations served.
The only other Indian airport among the top 50 megahub airports—Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA)—however dropped 10 spots from last year to the 44th position.
London Heathrow, Kuala Lampur International Airport, Tokyo-Haneda, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, and Seoul's Incheon Airport—in that order—were ranked as the global top five megahub airports by OAG. Kuala Lampur International Airport was ranked as the top LCC megahub airport globally, followed by Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Incheon Airport, and Singapore Changi Airport.

India Remains Top Source for Sri Lanka Tourism in 2024
As Indians roam all around the world, as per data released in September 2024, Sri Lanka is also one of the top travel destinations for Indians in 2024. India maintained the top spot for Sri Lanka in the first 8 months of this year (2024).
As per the data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, the increase in tourist arrivals in the current year to date increased by 50.7 per cent as against the same period in 2023.

THSC Announces Indian Team for WorldSkills Competition 2024, in Lyon
The Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), proudly announced the Indian team for the upcoming WorldSkills Competition 2024, scheduled to take place in Lyon, France, from September 10 to 15.
THSC conducted extensive competitions across the country, leading to the selection of 102 top competitors in the hospitality skill categories of Bakery, Cookery, Restaurant Services, Patisserie and Confectionery, and Hotel Reception. Competitors from various regions demonstrated exceptional skill through multiple selection rounds to earn their place in the IndiaSkills National Competition.
To represent India at the WorldSkills Competition, these candidates underwent a rigorous selection process, including 16 hours of hands-on competitions. The finalists were chosen during the IndiaSkills 2024 – National Competition for Hospitality Skills, held in Delhi.

Madhya Pradesh CM Inaugurates IATO Annual Convention
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the annual convention of the Indian Association of Tour Operators, with an aim to boost the footfall of foreign tourists in the state, according to officials.
The three-day 39th annual convention of IATO is being held on the theme titled 'Resurgent India Inbound'.
Yadav will be accompanied by Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Madhya Pradesh Culture and Tourism Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi.
More than 1,200 tour operators, travel agents, hoteliers and representatives of the tourism sector from across the country will participate in the meet themed 'Resurgent India Inbound'.
Established in 1982, IATO plays a major role in bringing international travellers to India and planning their tours.
