Shashi Tharoor Releases Book Titled "Ringside" Written by Vijay Darda
Renowned author and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor released the book "Ringside" written by Lokmat Media Group Editorial Board Chairman and former MP Vijay Darda. "Ringside" is a compilation of Darda's weekly articles published between 2011 and 2016 in Lokmat Media Group newspapers and other leading national and regional dailies.
The book serves as a follow-up to Dr. Darda's previous work, 'Straight Thoughts'.
'Ringside' provides readers with insight into contemporary political, social, cultural and important events and developments.
With a comprehensive exploration of important topics, the book aims to engage readers and provide a deeper understanding of the current political and social landscape.

Goa Raj Bhavan Launches First Books under Governor's Scheme
Five books published under the Goa Raj Bhavan's book sponsoring scheme 'Nayi Pahal' were released.
The books in Konkani, Marathi and English were unveiled in the presence of Jnanpith Award winner Goan writer Damodar Mauzo.
The books are by authors Sanjay Ramesh Salelkar (Konkani), Pallavi Polekar (Marathi), Advocate Manohar Adpaikar (Marathi) and two books by Pachu Menon in English.
The Raj Bhavan had in February declared an innovative scheme for new writers, under which it would sponsor the cost of printing and publishing their books in Konkani, Marathi, Hindi and Sanskrit, and later English was also included in the scheme.
The Raj Bhavan may not be involved in the sale process of a book, but it will help new writers to come up and prove their creative talent in literature.

Written by Group Captain Anurakshat Gupta and his team of ardent quizzer-doctors from the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune, the book takes readers on a journey across 250 questions as it explores trivia that connects the Indian Armed Forces to topics ranging from mythology, history and art to geography, fashion and sport.
The quiz book is published by Penguin Random House India (PRHI).
The book is divided into four sections: The Colonial Era, India at the World Wars and in the Years Between, Wars of Independent India and The Operations, Warriors, Traditions, and Colours of the Men in Uniform.

Assam Governor Releases Book 'Partitioned Freedom' by Ram Madhav
Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria released a book titled 'Partitioned Freedom' written by Ram Madhav at an event in Guwahati and said that India has always been looked upon as a land of wealth and wisdom.
The book launch program was attended by Ram Madhav, educationalist Dr. Sangeeta Tripathi, Deputy High Commissioner for Bangladesh in Guwahati Ruhul Amin along with a host of other dignitaries.
PM Modi Releases Tamil Classic 'Thirukkural' in Tok Pisin Language
Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his Papua New Guinea counterpart James Marape released the Tamil classic 'Thirukkural' in the Tok Pisin language to bring the Indian thought and culture closer to the people of this southwestern Pacific nation.
Modi was on his maiden visit to Papua New Guinea, becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the country. He co-hosted with Marape a key summit between India and 14 Pacific island countries to boost bilateral ties.
Tok Pisin is the official language of Papua New Guinea.
Co-authored by Subha Sasindran and Governor Sasindran Muthuvel of West New Britain Province, the book brings Indian thought and culture closer to the people of Papua New Guinea.
Thirukkural, a collection of couplets on ethics, political and economic matters, and love, is written by Poet Thiruvalluvar.

'The Golden Years' New Book by Ruskin Bond
Indian author Ruskin Bond wrote a book titled "The Golden Years: The Many Joys of Living a Good Long Life". The Golden Years book is published by HarperCollins India and released on May 19, 2023, Bond's 89th birthday. "The Golden Years" focuses on Bond's experiences during the 60s, 70s and 80s.
The book is a collection of essays and reflections on aging, written by Bond in his late 80s. In the book, Bond shares his thoughts on the joys and challenges of old age, as well as his advice on how to make the most of the golden years.
