Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the programme marking 'Veer Baal Diwas' on December 26, 2023 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
On the day of the Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, on January 9, 2022, Prime Minister had announced that December 26 will be observed as 'Veer Bal Diwas', to mark the martyrdom of Sri Guru Gobind Singh's sons Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji.

Every year, in honour of former Indian Prime Minister Atal Vihari Vajpayee's birthday, India observes 'Good Governance Day'.
The day is devoted to former Prime Minister Atal Vihari Vajpayee. Prime Minister Narendra Modi 2014 announced that 'Good Governance Day' will be observed annually on December 25 in memory of the former PM.
The day is celebrated to t make sure that the country's residents are treated fairly by the government and they receive the advantages of various government services.
In keeping with this principle, the Government of India has decreed Good Governance Day to be a working day for the government.
