Indian Air Force (IAF) Conducts 'Exercise Desert Knight' with France and UAE Counterparts

Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted 'Exercise Desert Knight ' with French Air and Space Force (FASF) and United Arab Emirates (UAE) Air Force over the Arabian Sea.
The main focus of Exercise Desert Knight was on enhancing synergy and interoperability between the three Air Forces. The interactions during the exercise facilitated the exchange of operational knowledge, experiences and best practices amongst the participants. Such exercises are indicative of the growing diplomatic and military interactions in the region, apart from showcasing the prowess of the IAF.

Iran's Military Receives Advanced Home-grown Drones

The Iranian army marked a significant milestone in its defense capabilities as it formally received a substantial number of domestically developed reconnaissance and combat drones in a ceremony. The event, attended by the Iranian Army's Chief Commander Abdolrahim Mousavi and Defense Minister Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani, showcased the latest advancements in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology.
The delivered UAVs encompass a diverse range of capabilities, including the multipurpose Ababil-4 and Ababil-5, Arash, Bavar, and Karrar jet-powered target drones. Each drone is tailored to specific mission profiles, highlighting the versatility of Iran's indigenous drone technology.

Special Forces of India, Kyrgyzstan Hold 13-day Counter-terror Exercise

Special Forces of India and Kyrgyzstan kick-started a 13-day exercise in Himachal Pradesh's Bakloh with a focus on combating terrorism and extremism. It was the 11th edition of India-Kyrgyzstan annual 'Khanjar' Exercise.
The Indian Army contingent comprised 20 personnel from the Parachute Regiment (Special Forces) while the Kyrgyz team with equal number of personnel was represented by the Kyrgyz Special Forces' Scorpion brigade.
The aim of the exercise was to exchange experiences and best practices in counter terrorism and Special Forces operations in built-up area and mountainous terrain under Chapter VII of the UN Charter.

Indian, Egyptian Armies Hold 11-day Exercise

The Indian and Egyptian armies held an 11-day military exercise in Egypt's Anshas in line with the overall aim of the two nations to expand bilateral defence and security engagement. The Indian contingent comprised 25 personnel from the Parachute Regiment (Special Forces) at the second edition of the India-Egypt exercise 'Cyclone'.
The first edition of the Special Forces exercise was conducted in 2023 in India.
The aim of the exercise was to acquaint both the sides with each other's operating procedures in the backdrop of special operations in desert/semi desert terrain under Chapter VII of UN Charter.
Exercise Cyclone is designed to develop bilateral military cooperation and strengthen bond between the two armies through conduct of discussions and rehearsal of tactical military drills.

Indian Army Launches Operation Sarvashakti to Eliminate Terrorists

In response to escalating terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army launched Operation Sarvashakti, a strategic initiative aimed at curbing the influence of Pakistani proxy terrorist groups. Focused on the Pir Panjal mountain ranges in the Union Territory, this operation seeks to eliminate terrorists operating in the sensitive Rajouri Poonch sector.
Operation Sarvashakti aims to conduct combined counter-terrorist operations on both sides of the Pir Panjal ranges. The Srinagar-based Chinar Corps and the Nagrota-headquartered White Knight Corps will execute simultaneous operations to neutralize terrorist threats. Coordinated efforts involving the Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, Special Operations Group, and intelligence agencies are crucial components of this operation.

Assam Inducts 'Black Panthers', Police Commandos Trained by Army

At the Saru Sajai Sports Complex in Guwahati, amid hundreds of spectators and dignitaries including Home Minister Amit Shah and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, a group of young commandos, dressed in their black combat fatigue, armed with the latest close-range, sniper and automatic weapons, rappelled down a rope from a hovering Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) of the Army Aviation Corp for a demo of a tactical exercise.
These commandos may look like from the National Security Guards (NSG) by their tactical move to tackle a hostage situation, but they are the fresh batch of Assam's Black Panthers - the state's very own commando battalions of police force.
It was a historic moment for the Assam Police as the new batch of 2,551 police commandos were inducted.
According to the Assam Police, this was the first time that such a large contingent of any police force in the country were trained by the Indian Army as a part of their commando training course.

Amit Shah Inaugurates Cyber Security Operations Centre for Assam Rifles

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the cyber security operations centre in the Assam Rifles Headquarters at Laitkor.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the cyber security operations centre will strengthen the cyber security posture of the force by carrying out real-time monitoring of the network, mitigation of external threats & prevention of cyber violations in the Assam Rifles Wide Area Network (ARWAN). The cyber security operations centre is equipped with a state-of-the-art Network & data monitoring devices to provide 24 x 7 services.
The Centre is the first of its kind among all Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) across the country.
