ISRO Celebrates Diamond Jubilee of First Sounding Rocket Launch

In a grand ceremony held at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), ISRO commemorated the 60th anniversary of its maiden foray into space with the launch of the Nike-Apache sounding rocket from the Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station on November 21, 1963.
The event was graced by the presence of Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for the Ministry of Science and Technology, who inaugurated the program. S. Somanath, Chairman of ISRO and Secretary of the Department of Space (DOS), presided over the function.
As part of the jubilee festivities, an exhibition showcasing the past, present, and future programs of ISRO was organised. The 2452nd-sounding rocket launch from Thumba, a Rohini 200, added a spectacular touch to the event. Jitendra Singh unveiled a diamond jubilee monument near the launch control centre, symbolizing six decades of India's achievements in space exploration.

TCS Claims Top Spot in Customer Satisfaction among IT and Cloud Services Providers in Spain

Indian IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) achieved remarkable success in Spain, securing the number one position in service delivery quality and commercial competitiveness, according to an independent survey conducted by Whitelane Research.
The survey, which encompassed insights from 285 CXOs of leading IT spending organisations, assessed 28 top IT service providers based on a comprehensive investigation of over 875 unique IT sourcing relationships and more than 1,050 cloud sourcing relationships.

Russia Plans to Send Cosmonauts to the Moon Next Decade

Russia plans to send cosmonauts to land on the Moon next decade for the first time in its history and intends to build a moon base from 2031, according to the Russian corporation responsible for manned space flights.
In August 2023, Russia's first moon mission in 47 years failed when its Luna-25 space craft spun out of control and crashed into the moon, underscoring the post-Soviet problems experienced by a once mighty space programme.
Yuri Gagarin became the first human in outer space on April 12, 1961, but Soviet cosmonauts never did a human landing on the moon.

Microsoft Renames Bing Chat as Copilot

Microsoft announced that the company's AI-powered Bing Chat and Bing Chat for Enterprise was renamed as 'Copilot' at the Ignite developers conference. In addition to the name change, the American technology giant said that the Copilot experience will also be available on a standalone web page similar to ChatGPT. Users will still be able to access the chatbot from Bing and Windows. However, the site will make it more accessible as it can be accessed from any browser, not just through Bing.
