Nebra Sky Disc: British Museum to Display World's 'Oldest Map of Stars'
An ancient object thought to be the world's oldest map of the stars is to go on display at the British Museum.
The Nebra Sky Disc is widely believed to be 3,600 years old, dating from the Bronze Age.
The bronze disc was unearthed in Germany in 1999 and is considered one of the most important archaeological finds of the 20th Century.
But its discovery has also been controversial, with a small number of scholars disputing its authenticity.
The Nebra disc measures about 30 cm and has a blue-green patina emblazoned with gold symbols representing the Sun, Moon, stars, solstices and other cosmic phenomena.

400 Rock-cut Chamber Tombs, Filled with Wall Paintings and Treasures, Discovered in Turkey
Archaeologists in Turkey have discovered 400 rock-cut chamber tombs that date to 1,800 years ago and make up part of one of the largest rock-cut chamber tomb necropolises in the world.
The team found the tombs in the ancient city of Blaundos, located about 110 miles east of the Aegean Sea in what is now Turkey. The city was founded during the time of Alexander the Great and existed through the Roman and Byzantine periods.
The tombs are filled with sarcophagi, many of which contain multiple deceased individuals — a clue that families used these tombs for burials over many generations.

A 1,500-year-old Byzantine Wine Complex Found
A 1,500-year-old wine-making complex, said to have been the world's largest at the time, has been discovered in Israel.
Five presses were unearthed at the huge Byzantine-era winery at Yavne, south of Tel Aviv, which is estimated to have produced two million litres a year.
After a sophisticated production process it was exported around the Mediterranean.
Those working at the site said they were surprised by its size.
There are plans to make the complex a visitor attraction once preservation work is completed.
The site contains five wine presses, warehouses for aging and bottling the wine, and kilns for firing the jars used for storing it.
