Manish Tewari Book: BJP Hits Out at Congress over UPA Govt's Response to 26/11

Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) slammed the Congress over the party-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government's response to the November 26, 2008, terror attacks in Mumbai. The controversy erupted over an excerpt from Tewari's latest book, titled '10 Flashpoints; 20 Years,' published by Rupa Publications.
Reacting to the Anandpur Sahib MP's opinion, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya tweeted: "After Salman Khurshid, another Congress leader throws the UPA under the bus to sell his book. Manish Tewari in his new book slams the UPA for weakness in the name of restraint post 26/11. Air Chief Marshal Fali Major is already on record saying the IAF was ready to strike, but the UPA froze."

Chinese President Xi Jinping's Book on Governance Published in Hindi

President Xi Jinping's book on governance, highlighting his doctrine of 'Socialism with Chinese Characteristics' for modern China and philosophy of addressing its pressing issues, was published in Hindi and several other languages of the Central Asian countries.
The first volume of 'Xi Jinping: The Governance of China' was released in Hindi, Pashto, Dari, Sinhalese and Uzbek languages at a function at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
It has already been published in English and several languages, besides in Mandarin in the last few years.

Smriti Irani Turns Author with Debut Novel 'Lal Salaam'

With her debut novel 'Lal Salaam', Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Zubin Irani has turned author, announced publishing house Westland.
Based on the tragic killings of 76 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel at Dantewada in Chhattisgarh in April 2010, the novel pays tribute to the extraordinary people who have served the country for decades - especially those who have borne the brunt of the red corridor conflict.
'Lal Salaam' tells the story of a young officer, Vikram Pratap Singh, and of the challenges he faces against a system that is rife with backroom manoeuvrings and corruption.

A book titled 'The Disruptor: How Vishwanath Pratap Singh Shook India' was authored by Debashish Mukerji. The book presents a detailed account on India's eighth Prime Minister (PM), Vishwanath Pratap Singh (V P Singh), who served as PM between December 1989 to November 1990. He also served as the Defence Minister of India & the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Dr. Ajay Kumar Releases a Book 'FORCE IN STATECRAFT'

India's Defence Secretary Dr. Ajay Kumar released a book titled 'FORCE IN STATECRAFT' in New Delhi. The book is a compilation of essays on topics such as counter-insurgency operations, conflict in the Northeast, airpower, nuclear posture etc. contributed by all stalwarts of the Armed Forces, who have vast operational experience and understanding of several important cornerstones of forces and its application.
It has been compiled by Commandant of National Defence College (NDC) Air Marshal Diptendu Choudhury and President's Chair of Excellence at NDC Air Vice Marshal (Dr.) Arjun Subramaniam (Retd). The first of its kind book from NDC will help policymakers, legislators, diplomats, academics, leadership at all levels in the various national security verticals.
