The Rashtriya Khanij Puruskar was introduced by the Union Ministry of Mines. It is a national award to promote and facilitate mining all over the country. The Rashtriya Khanij Puraskar 2022 was introduced to encourage the states that take the initiative in the exploration, auction, and operationalization of mineral blocks.
There are three categories of minerals to which the Rashtriya Khanij Puraskar will be awarded. The awards for the year 2018-2020 and 2020-2021 were given during the 6th National Conclave on Mines & Minerals. A total of Rs. 18 crore was awarded as prize money to different states.
Gujarat received the 1st prize in Rashtriya Khanij Puraskar for the auction of Minor Minerals from Hon'ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah.

Winston Churchill Leadership Award to Ukraine's President
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson presented Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the Sir Winston Churchill Leadership Award, drawing comparisons between the two leaders in times of crises.
Zelenskyy accepted the award by video link during a ceremony at Johnson's London office that was attended by members of the Churchill family, Ukrainian Ambassador Vadym Prystaiko and Ukrainians who have received training from British soldiers.
The Churchill leadership award was first presented in 2006. Past recipients include Prince Charles, former British Prime Ministers Margaret Thatcher and John Major, and former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

Former Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane was honoured by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) for his role in strengthening ties between India and US.
The USISPF presented global leadership and public service awards to those persons who have been instrumental in strengthening ties between the US and India.
Along with Naravane, former US Defence Secretary General Jim Mattis was also awarded the public service award.

Maharashtra: Ranjitsinh Disale Chosen for Abdul Kalam 'Pride of India' Award
Ranjitsinh Disale from Maharashtra was selected for the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Pride of India Award 2022. Mr. Disale was given the prestigious award at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu.
Mr. Disale resigned as a Zilla Parishad teacher from the Solapur district to pursue higher studies in the USA. He won the USD 1 million Global Teacher Prize 2020 for his efforts to promote education among girls as well as triggering a quick-response (QR) coded textbook revolution in India.
He is also a recipient of the Global Teacher Award.

Kamal Haasan Honoured by the UAE, Obtains a Golden Visa
Kamal Haasan, a prominent figure in the Tamil cinema industry, was given the prestigious Golden Visa by the United Arab Emirates. The Golden Visa has been given to others besides actor Kamal Hasan. Actors Nasser, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Parthiepan, Amala Paul, and Shah Rukh Khan all have received it before Kamal Hasan.
The UAE Golden Visa is an extended resident visa programme which lasts between five and ten years.
The visa is perpetually extended. It is given to high performers in a variety of industries, as well as to professionals, investors, and those with potential skills.
The cost of the Golden Visa for those who are currently residents of the UAE ranges from AED 2,800 to AED 3,800.

Only three people in the world were selected this year for the honour, bestowed by the Global Energy Association, out of a record 119 nominations from 43 countries.
