National Level Hackathon 'KAVACH-2023' Launched

The Centre launched a national-level hackathon 'KAVACH 2023' with the aim to address cyber security challenges and cybercrimes in the country. This will be done by identifying innovative ideas and technological solutions given by the participating students and start-ups.
KAVACH 2023 is a unique national hackathon jointly conducted by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, AICTE, Bureau of Police Research and Development, and the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (Ministry of Home Affairs) to identify innovative ideas and technological solutions for challenges faced by law enforcement agencies and common citizens.

Prez Murmu Inaugurates International Engineering and Technology Fair 2023

President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the International Engineering and Technology Fair (IETF) 2023 in New Delhi. The event was held from February 16-18 at Pragati Maidan.
Addressing the International Engineering and Technology Fair organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), she said that this event is not only a celebration of India's growth story in the engineering and manufacturing sectors but also a testimony to the nation's collaboration with the best in the world in advanced technologies.

Science Centre and Planetarium to be Constructed in Kota by NCSM

The Science Centre and Planetarium will be constructed in Kota, Rajasthan. The Science Centre and Planetarium will be one of the best science centres and planetariums in the world. About Rs. 35 crore 25 lakh will be spent.
An MoU was signed between the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) and the Science and Technology Department of the Government of Rajasthan in this regard.
National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Culture. It is the largest chain of science centres or museums under a single administrative umbrella in the world. There are 24 science centres or museums and one R & D laboratory and training centre of NCSM, located in different states in India.

Home-grown financial technology firm Velocity launched India's first AI chatbot integrated with OpenAI's ChatGPT, called 'Lexi'.
Velocity integrated this latest advancement in artificial intelligence with its existing analytics tool, Velocity Insights.
Indian e-commerce brands that utilise Velocity Insights receive a daily business report on Whatsapp, which led the company also integrate ChatGPT in the same Whatsapp interface.
The integration of ChatGPT with Velocity Insights empowers e-commerce founders by providing them with AI-powered business insights in a conversational manner, freeing up time for critical business functions.

First International Conference on Digital Skilling

The Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Alkesh Kumar Sharma inaugurated the First International Conference on Digital Skilling under NICE-DT (NIELIT's International Conference on Communication, Electronics and Digital Technologies) in New Delhi. The event was organised by the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), under the administrative control of Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India.
The International Conference fostered collaboration and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders in the field of digital skilling and develop strategies for up skilling & re-skilling workers globally to engineer the blueprint for creating "Global Future Ready Workforce" thereby contributing towards the achievement of building India as the skilling capital of the World.
