RBI Wins 'Changemaker Of The Year' Award

Recently, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) was honored with the 'Changemaker of the Year' award. Governor Shaktikanta Das accepted it on behalf of the RBI.
The recognition was part of the Hindu Businessline Changemaker Awards 2023, held at ITC Maurya in New Delhi on November 3.

UST wins 2023 Mahatma Awards for impactful CSR initiatives

Leading digital transformation solutions company UST has won the 2023 Mahatma Awards for sustainable and impactful contributions to corporate social responsibility (CSR) in areas such as education, health, livelihood, environment, and disaster relief.
An initiative of the Aditya Birla Group, the award was presented on Gandhi Jayanti.
A highlight of the company's CSR drive is its Adopt-a-School programme which impacts over 32,000 students in India and Mexico.
UST supports over 104 schools, promoting accessible, quality education for all. Its initiatives include medical support for those with disabilities and habitat restoration projects in Kerala.
The nature conservation and sustainable livelihood project sourced 75,000 medicinal saplings in 2022 alone.
In response to global crises, UST has demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian causes, including a $100,000 pledge to support victims of the conflict in Ukraine.
UST associates from the UK, Ukraine, and Poland volunteered to help distribute essentials in the refugee camps.

India-Born Author Nandini Das Wins 2023 British Academy Book Prize

India-born author Nandini Das has been named the winner of the 2023 British Academy Book Prize for Global Cultural Understanding, a leading international non-fiction prize, for her book 'Courting India: England, Mughal India and the Origins of Empire'.
The winning book is her debut and has been described by critics as the "true origin story of Britain and India told through England's first diplomatic mission to the Mughal courts".

Writer T. Padmanabhan Receives Prestigious Kerala Jyothi Award

Eminent writer T. Padmanabhan has been chosen for the Kerala Jyothi Award 2023 instituted by the Kerala government.
He was selected for the highest civilian honour by the government considering his contributions in the field of Malayalam literature.
The State also announced other 'Kerala Puraskarngals', the highest award given by the government to distinguished personalities who have made outstanding contributions in various spheres of social life.

Bangalore Kid Wins 'Wildlife Photographer Of The Year' Award

Vihaan Talya Vikas from Bengaluru was awarded the best photographer in his category at the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition held in London.
Organized by the Natural History Museum, London, the competition showcases the finest wildlife photography from around the world.
The event is also considered the 'Oscars of Photography'.
His photo of a spider along with Krishna's carving clicked on the outskirts of the city and helped him bag the award

India-born Author Nandini Das Wins 2023 British Academy Book Prize

India-born author Nandini Das was named the winner of the 2023 British Academy Book Prize for Global Cultural Understanding, a leading international non-fiction prize worth GBP 25,000, for her book 'Courting India: England, Mughal India and the Origins of Empire'.
The British Academy Book Prize, formerly known as the Nayef Al-Rodhan Prize, was established in 2013 to reward and celebrate the best works of non-fiction that demonstrate rigour and originality and have contributed to public understanding of other world cultures and their interaction.

Nita Ambani Receives USISPF Global Leadership Award

Nita Ambani, Founder and Chair of Reliance Foundation, was honoured with the 2023 USISPF Global Leadership Award for Philanthropy and Corporate Social Responsibility. The award was presented by John Chambers, Chairman of USISPF, at a reception in New Delhi attended by prominent figures from the USISPF, Indian business leaders, and Government of India officials.
US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) is an independent not-for-profit institution dedicated to strengthening the US-India partnership, serving as a trusted partner for businesses, non-profit organisations, the diaspora, and both Indian and US governments.
The forum fosters powerful collaborations between the US and India, promoting dialogue and cooperation in various sectors.
