National Nutrition Week (NNW) is observed annually in India from September 1 to 7. This dedicated week aims to raise awareness among people about the vital role of nutrition and the significance of cultivating healthy eating habits.
Throughout National Nutrition Week, several seminars, workshops, educational programmes, conferences, and public awareness campaigns are organised across the country.
Back in 1975, the American Dietetic Association — now called the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics — started National Nutrition Week.
In India, National Nutrition Week was first celebrated in 1982. The government launched various initiatives to encourage, inform and teach people about healthy eating and how it's connected to staying healthy and living longer.

World Sanskrit Day
World Sanskrit Day, also referred to as International Sanskrit Day, Sanskrit Diwas and Vishwa Samskrita Dinam is observed on the day of Shravana Poornima in the Hindu calendar, which is also marked as Raksha Bandhan, which coincides with the moon. National Small Industry Day
The National Small Industry Day is observed in India on August 30 every year. The day recognises the contribution of small industries to the country's growth. The day is also an opportunity for the central and state governments to encourage and support small industries. These small businesses offer employment to a large number of people in India.

National Sports Day

In recognition of his unparalleled contributions to the realm of sports, the Government of India declared his birthday as National Sports Day in 2012, with the aim to inspire generations to come. This decision also focused on promoting sports and physical fitness among the masses.
The theme for 2023 National Sports Day celebration is 'Sports are an enabler to an inclusive and fit society'.

PM Modi Announces August 23 as 'National Space Day'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced to celebrate August 23, when India's Chandrayaan-3 landed on the Moon, as National Space Day. He also announced that the spot where the lander landed on the Moon will be known as 'Shivashakti' and where Chandrayaan-2 touched down will be called as 'Tiranga Point'.
The Prime Minister was addressing the scientists at the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network Mission Control Complex in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
