National Chartered Accountants' Day

India marks National Chartered Accountants Day on July 1, commemorating the founding of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)—the country's premier regulatory body for the accounting profession.
This date marks the founding of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in 1949. ICAI was established under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, passed by the Indian Parliament, to regulate the profession of Chartered Accountancy in India.

National Doctor's Day

India marks National Doctor's Day on July 1 every year to recognise the tireless service, dedication, and compassion of the country's medical professionals.
Doctor's Day in India was instituted in 1991 by the Government of India in honour of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, one of the country's most respected physicians and a visionary in public healthcare.
Dr. Roy was also the second Chief Minister of West Bengal and a recipient of the Bharat Ratna.
The theme for National Doctor's Day 2025 is 'Behind the Mask: Who Heals the Healers?'

World Asteroid Day

World Asteroid Day is celebrated on June 30 every year. The purpose of this day is to make people aware of asteroids and the potentially dangerous situations associated with them.
The United Nations General Assembly officially recognised World Asteroid Day in 2016. The date of June 30 was chosen because on this day in 1908, a large asteroid exploded in the Tunguska region of Russia, destroying about 2,000 square kilometres of forest.

International Day of the Tropics

The International Day of the Tropics, observed annually on June 29, is a day dedicated to recognising the incredible diversity and importance of the world's tropical regions. This special day aims to raise global awareness about the unique challenges and opportunities faced by tropical areas, while highlighting their crucial role in our planet's ecosystem and human society.
The United Nations General Assembly established the International Day of the Tropics in June 2016, through resolution A/RES/70/267. The date of June 29 was chosen to commemorate the anniversary of the first 'State of the Tropics Report,' launched in 2014 by Myanmar's Nobel Laureate, Aung San Suu Kyi.

National Statistics Day

National Statistics Day is celebrated on June 29 every year to acknowledge and appreciate the exceptional contributions made by statisticians in India, particularly honouring the birth anniversary of eminent statistician (Late) Prof. Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis, widely recognised as the 'Father of Indian Statistics'. The celebration aims to popularise statistics as a field of study and highlight its importance in policy-making and everyday life. To achieve this, various seminars, campaigns, and programs are conducted across the country to mark the day.
National Statistics Day in India was first celebrated in 2007, following a Gazette notification on June 5, 2007, which declared June 29, the birth anniversary of P. C. Mahalanobis, as Statistics Day. It was categorised as a special day of national importance to raise awareness about the significance of statistics in nation-building.

Declared by the United Nations in 2017, the day is an opportunity to highlight the critical role these enterprises play globally, particularly in developing economies, where they serve as the backbone of local growth and entrepreneurship.
The theme for MSME Day 2025 is 'Enhancing the role of MSMEs as drivers of Sustainable Growth and Innovation.'

International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

The world observes the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking annually on June 26, also known as 'World Drug Day', to raise awareness of the global drug crisis and promote multilateral action toward prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.
In December 1987, the General Assembly of the United Nations set aside June 26 of each year as International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking to be observed worldwide.
