World Nature Conservation Day is observed on July 28 every year. The main aim of this day is to spread awareness regarding the protection of nature and biodiversity for a healthy environment which is required for prospering humankind. It is also marked as the day to create positive opinions about climate change. One of the major efforts of World Nature Conservation Day is to tell society about the importance of flora and fauna.

As part of the 17th anniversary celebrations of the Indian Cartoon Gallery, the Indian Institute of Cartoonists (IIC) presented the Bartons Lifetime Achievement Award to eminent cartoonist Keshav. They are also is organising a 15-day retrospective of his works.
Bengaluru-born Keshav Venkataraghavan, who was the editorial cartoonist for The Hindu for more than three decades until 2019, studied in Hyderabad and completed his M.Com from Madras University. Attracted to every form of art since childhood, Keshav channelled his passion into a career by sketching people live at music concerts for Ananda Vikatan, a Tamil weekly in Chennai.

Rajbhasha Gaurav Samman 2023-24 Award Ceremony
The Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) honoured Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh with the 'Rajbhasha Gaurav Samman' for the year 2023-24. The event was hosted by NTPC and was presided over by Atul Bhatt, Chairman of TOLIC and CMD of RINL.
Atul Bhatt commended TOLIC's efforts and the progressive use of Hindi in Visakhapatnam. He also congratulated the local PSUs and TOLIC for winning the Regional Official Language Award for 2022-23.

Curator and author Rahaab Allana was conferred with the insignia of Officier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres at the Embassy of France.
The French government distinction is given to persons who have distinguished themselves by their creativity in the field of art, culture and literature or for their contribution to the influence of arts in France and throughout the world.
Allana, curator and publisher, Alkazi Foundation for the Arts, received the honour for his career as curator of contemporary South Asian photography as well as his contributions to Indo-French artistic cooperation over the years.

RRR Star Ram Charan to be Honoured at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2024
Superstar Ram Charan will be the guest of honour at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) where he will also be awarded the Ambassador for Indian Art and Culture for his stellar contributions to Indian cinema. The festival, hosted by the Victorian State Government annually, will organise a retrospective of the actor's films to celebrate his journey in the film industry. It runs from August 15 to 25, 2024.

IISR Wins Best Technology Award
The Indian Institute of Spices Research (IISR) received the best technology award for its pioneering work in the field of horticultural sciences. Union Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan presented the award during the 96th Foundation Day celebrations of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in New Delhi. The technology titled 'Process for instant soluble turmeric enriched spice flavoured milk powder' was one of the top five technologies under Horticulture Sciences Division of the ICAR. The technology had already been commercialised with Malabar Regional Co-operative Milk Producers' Union Limited. Two products — Golden Milk and Golden Milk Mix — had been produced and marketed.
