BJP leader and former Union Minister Dilip Gandhi passed away in 2021. He was 69.
Gandhi had served as the Minister of State for Shipping in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led central government.
Gandhi, who started his career as a corporator in late 80s, had won the Lok Sabha elections three times since 1999 from Ahmednagar in Maharashtra.
Former Bangladesh PM Moudud Ahmed Passes Away
Barrister Moudud Ahmed, who held various political offices for short stints in the Government of Bangladesh, has passed away in March 2021.
He had served as the 17th Prime Minister of Bangladesh (1988–1989), Vice President of Bangladesh (1989–1990), Deputy Prime Minister (1976–1978 and 1987–1988), and Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs (2001–2006).
He was also a standing committee member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

PM Modi pays homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a champion of human rights and freedom, on his birth anniversary.
In a tweet, Mr Modi said, he is a hero for all Indians too. Prime Minister said, it will be his honour to visit Bangladesh later this month for the historic MujibBorsho celebrations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Principal Advisor P K Sinha resigns
Former Cabinet Secretary and Principal Advisor in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) P.K. Sinha has relinquished his high-profile position on personal grounds.
He was appointed in the PMO first as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) briefly and then as Principal Advisor, a specially created position for him, in September 2019 after the 2019 parliamentary polls.
Besides him, two senior officials are serving as Advisors in the PMO: Bhaskar Khulbe and Amarjit Sinha, both 1983 batch retired IAS officials.
New heads for CRPF, NSG
The Modi government named senior IPS officer Kuldiep Singh as the new Director General (DG) of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Mr Singh is currently Special DG of CRPF where the post of DG is vacant following superannuation of A.P. Maheshwari on February 28th. Mr Singh is a 1986 batch officer of West Bengal cadre. His appointment is up to September 30, 2022 when he will superannuate.
Another IPS of 1986 batch M.A. Ganapathy of Uttarakhand cadre has been named as the DG of National Security Guard (NSG). His appointment is up to February 29, 2024.
The post of DG, NSG has been vacant since last October when the then DG A.K. Singh retired.

The former principal of the Goa College of Art had several laurels under his name including Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri, Nehru Award, and Lalit Kala Akademi Award.

Justice Indu Malhotra Ends Tenure in SC
Justice Indu Malhotra, the first woman judge to be appointed to the Supreme Court Bench directly from the Bar, completed her last working day, virtually hearing cases alongside Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sharad A. Bobde.
Justice Malhotra was on the Constitution Bench that unanimously decriminalised homosexuality between adults.
She is known for her lone dissenting opinion in the Sabarimala judgment. She held that the prohibition on the entry of women of certain age into the temple was in vogue for time immemorial and qualified to be an "essential practice". Furthermore, she cautioned judges against imposing their personal views, morality or rationality with respect to the form of worship of a deity.
Deepak Mishra New Director of ICRIER
Deepak Mishra, Practice Manager in the World Bank's Macroeconomics, Trade, and Investment Global Practice, has been appointed as the next director and chief executive of the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER).
He will take the charge from Rajat Kathuria who has been the director and chief executive of ICRIER since 1st September 2012.
Mishra has held various positions at the World Bank, including co-director of the World Development Report 2016 (Digital Dividends), country economist for Ethiopia, Pakistan, Sudan, and Vietnam.

As per the latest Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has achieved a remarkable milestone amid the Covid-19 pandemic, as he added the highest wealth to his fortune in the world.
The Bloomberg Billionaires Index showed that so far in 2021, Adani has added $16.2 billion, taking his total net worth to $50 billion. With this surge in his wealth, Adani is now the 26th richest person in the world.
He even beat two of the world's richest individuals, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk, in terms of wealth generation this year. While Musk has added $10.3 billion to his net worth so far, Bezos has seen a downturn of 7.59 billion.
