Strategic Infrastructure Conclave Highlights BRO Advances

The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) organized a two‑day Strategic Infrastructure Conclave in New Delhi during July 2026. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the event and stressed the enduring importance of robust physical infrastructure in modern warfare. He noted that roads, tunnels, airfields and other strategic assets remain critical even as military technology evolves. The conclave showcased BRO’s adoption of modern technologies for infrastructure development in strategically important areas, including digital mapping, autonomous equipment, and smart monitoring. Participants discussed cross‑border connectivity, border outposts, and rapid deployment capabilities to strengthen national security and disaster response readiness.

5th BIMSTEC National Security Advisers’ Meeting Held

India hosted the fifth BIMSTEC National Security Advisers’ Meeting in New Delhi in July 2026. Adani Defence & Aerospace to invest 2500 crore in Shivpuri defence hub

Adani Defence & Aerospace announced a Rs 2,500 crore project to establish South Asia’s largest private-sector missile manufacturing ecosystem in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh. The facility will house missile assembly and production of critical materials at a single site, strengthening India’s indigenous defence manufacturing capacity. Officials estimate the ecosystem will create about 5,000 skilled jobs and bolster the domestic supply chain, spanning components, testing, and related services. The initiative aligns with national ambitions for self-reliance in defence and could accelerate local industry linkages across aviation and space sectors while contributing to regional economic development in MP.
