Kala Ghoda Arts Festival in Mumbai after Break of Two Years
The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival concluded in Mumbai on February 12, 2023. The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is Asia's biggest multicultural festival. The festival took place after a break of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Every year this festival is organized in January or February. The festival is usually held at the Kala Ghoda Art district which starts from the Regal Circle at the Southern end, stretches to the Mumbai University at the northern end.
The festival is known for its art, architecture, performances, workshops, panel discussions and food.

Kolkata Literature Fest Begins
West Bengal Governor C. V. Ananda Bose and state Education Minister Bratya Basu inaugurated the 9th Kolkata Literature Festival.
The literary meet, held alongside the ongoing 46th International Kolkata Book Fair, had sessions in which eminent personalities from the fields of art, culture, music and politics participated.
The focus of the discussions was on the evolving idea of India as the nation moves into its 76th year of Independence.
This year, the three-day festival had two panel discussions on Indian literature from the east and northeast with powerful voices such as Dalit literature writer Manoranjan Byapari.

The First Edition of India International Festival of Performing Arts Concludes
The inaugural edition of the India International Festival of Performing Arts (IIFPA), organised by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), concluded with the play 'Jab We Separated', written and directed by veteran actor Rakesh Bedi. The play was the final event of the three-day festival aimed at showcasing the richness of Indian culture, which also included musicals, plays, dance performances and more.

UNESCO to Soon Declare Visva-Bharati World's First Living Heritage University
Founded by Rabindranath Tagore in 1921, Visva-Bharati University will soon get the 'heritage' tag from UNESCO to take the distinction of world's first living heritage university.
Everything has been done except the formal meeting that will take place either in April or May. Normally heritage tag is given to a dead monument. For the first time in the world, a living university which is functioning is going to get the heritage tag from UNESCO."
Until Independence, it was a college and the institution was given the status of Central University in 1951 through a central Act. Its first vice-chancellor was Rathindranath Tagore, the son of Rabindranath Tagore, and the second vice-chancellor was grandfather of another Nobel Laureate economist Amartya Sen.

LG Manoj Sinha Inaugurates SARAS Aajeevika Mela 2023 in Jammu
Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the SARAS Aajeevika Mela 2023 at Aquaplex Crown at Bagh-e-Bahu, Jammu. The fair is witnessing participation of women Self Help Groups (SHG) from around 25 States and UTs across the country. The 11-day-long fair is first of its kind in the Union Territory of J&K. The mega event will provide a platform for the rural SHG women to sell and promote their self-made products & create marketing linkages with various selling platforms. Seventy-five stalls and 10 food courts have been set up at the exhibition site showcasing crafts, handicrafts, handloom and cuisine.
The Self Help Groups will display handicraft, handloom and natural food items from different rural areas across the country. This will be a national-level fair that will exhibit unique and famous indigenous products from various states and UTs. Several cultural events and plays on different Government schemes and campaigns will also be held during the fair.
