Rajasthan's Special Health Care Abhiyan 'Anchal' for Pregnant Women

In Rajasthan, a Special Health Care Abhiyan 'Anchal' was launched for pregnant women. More than 13 thousand women will be benefited from this Abhiyan. During the campaign, 13,144 pregnant women were tested for their hemoglobin levels, out of which 11,202 were found to be anemic. These women were advised to take the right medicine and necessary nutritious diet. They were also advised to keep themselves stress-free.
This unique campaign was started to ensure all necessary medical aid to pregnant women at the pre and post-natal stage so that maternal and infant mortality rates could be reduced. Under this campaign, it is also ensured that the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife and ASHA workers will keep in constant contact with the pregnant women of their respective areas and provide them with necessary counseling and treatment as and when required.

Union Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar Launches the Scheme "SHRESHTA"

Union Minister of social Justice and empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar launched the Scheme "SHRESHTA"-Scheme for residential education for students in High school in Targeted Areas. The Scheme for Residential Education for Students in Targeted Areas (SHRESHTA) was formulated with the objective to provide quality education and opportunities for even the poorest. Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas (SHRESHTA) provides for high quality education for meritorious but poor SC students in CBSE-affiliated reputed residential schools across the country.
The students, belonging to Scheduled Castes, studying in class 8th and 10th in the current academic year are eligible for availing the benefits of scheme are selected through a transparent mechanism through a National Entrance Test for SHRESHTA (NETS), which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission in class 9th and class 11th.

Government Limits LPG Subsidy to Ujjwala Beneficiaries

The government limited subsidy on cooking gas (LPG) for only 9 crore poor women and other beneficiaries who got free connections under the Ujjwala scheme and the remaining users, including households, will pay the market price. Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries will get Rs. 200 per cylinder subsidy for 12 bottles in a year to help ease some of the burden arising from cooking gas rates rising to record levels.
A 14.2-kg LPG cylinder costs Rs. 1,003 in the national capital. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries will get Rs. 200 subsidy directly in their bank account and the effective price for them would be Rs. 803 per 14.2-kg cylinder. For the rest, it will cost Rs. 1,003 in Delhi. The Rs. 200 subsidy will cost the government Rs. 6,100 crore.

PM Modi Releases 11th Installment of PM-KISAN Benefits

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 11th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, worth nearly Rs. 21,000 crore, in Shimla. The amount was released at the 'Garib Kalyan Sammelan' as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. He interacted with beneficiaries of about 16 schemes spanning nine departments of the Government of India.
Events were organized at State Capitals, District Headquarters and KVK Centres all over the country wherein the scheme beneficiaries interact with Chief Ministers, Central or State Ministers, Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assembly and other elected public representatives.

PM Modi Unveils PM CARES for Children Scheme

The students who lost both their parents due to Covid-19 will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 4,000 a month. The monthly stipend will be disbursed under the PM Cares for Children Scheme. If someone needs an education loan for professional courses, or for higher education, then PM cares will help in that too. The youth from 18-23 years of age will get a stipend every month and when they are 23 years old, they will get the amount of Rs. 10 lakh.
PM Cares fund also helped a lot in preparing hospitals, buying ventilators, and setting up oxygen plants during the Covid pandemic.

Tamil Nadu Government Launches Integrated Agri-development Scheme

Chief Minister MK Stalin launched the 'Kalaignarin All Villages Integrated Agricultural Development Programme' that proposes overall agriculture development in all the 15,525 village panchayats through a convergence of Union and State government schemes and externally-aided projects in five years.
In 2022, the programme will cover 1,997 village panchayats at a cost of Rs. 227.06 crore and benefit over nine lakh agricultural families.
The programme aims to bring 11.75 lakh hectares of land under net area cultivated in the next 10 years, increase the double-cropping area to 20 lakh hectares, and make Tamil Nadu among the top three States in production of foodgrains, coconut, cotton, sunflower, and groundnut.

Tripura Adopts EV Policy to Convert 10% of State's Vehicles to Electric

In an effort to cut down on environmental pollution and uphold Tripura as an eco-friendly tourist destination, the Tripura state government decided to adopt the Tripura Electric Vehicle Policy 2022, to promote electric vehicles. There are 60,000 vehicles in Tripura. Government has taken an in-principle decision to convert 10 per cent of these 60,000 vehicles in the next five years.
The electric vehicles policy is already existing in 14 states of the country. If implemented, Tripura would become the 15th state and third in the Northeast region after Assam and Meghalaya to adopt the electric vehicle policy.
The cabinet also decided to provide 2-3 Ganda free land to 7,230 tea garden workers in the state.

Centre Launches Swachh Survekshan 2023 under Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0

Union Government launched the Eighth Edition of Swachh Survekshan – SS-2023 under Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0. Designed with the theme of 'Waste to Wealth' as its driving philosophy, Swachh Survekshan- 2023 is curated towards achieving circularity in waste management. The survey would give priority to the principle of 3 Rs- Reduce, Recycle and Reuse.
Over the years, Swachh Survekshan emerged as the largest Urban sanitation survey in the world. It was observed that whenever the Swachh Survey starts, there is an enhanced level of activities undertaken by the cities and cities are visibly cleaner during the months the survey is conducted. Therefore, in SS-2023, the evaluation will be conducted in four phases, instead of three phases in earlier editions.

Uttarakhand Becomes the First Indian State to Roll Out Drone in Healthcare

Drones being used commercially to deliver great healthcare to Indians in the most rural locations appears to be a possibility now. In the United States' Redcliffe Labs, a division of Redcliffe Lifetech, has completed its first commercial drone flight in the healthcare sector. Between Uttarkashi and Dehradun, the business just launched a commercial drone corridor. Redcliffe Lab transported a payload of 5 kilograms in air temp boxes from Gyansu, Uttarkashi, to Vivek Vihar, Dehradun, a distance of 60 kilometres by air.
Though initially sceptical, India's commercial sectors have embraced drones to improve job efficiency and save operational costs. According to 6W research, the Indian UAV market is expected to develop at a CAGR of 18% in terms of revenue from 2017 to 23.
