Karnataka Assembly Passes Bill to Ban Online Gambling
The Karnataka Assembly passed the Karnataka Police (Amendment) Bill banning online gambling or betting in the state with maximum imprisonment of three years and penalty up to Rs. 1 lakh. The bill bans online games, involving all forms of wagering or betting, including in the form of tokens valued in terms of money paid before or after issue of it. It banned electronic means and virtual currency, electronic transfer of funds in connection with any game of chance. The bill is intended to curb gaming through internet or mobile applications. It also enhances the punishment for gaming for the orderly conduct of citizens and to wean them away from the vice of gambling.

"Ek Pahal Campaign" for Justice Delivery at Doorstep
The Ministry of Law and Justice has launched a pan-India special campaign called "Ek Pahal Drive" for justice delivery at doorstep.
The campaign was launched in a bid to encourage mass registration under Tele-Law.
The campaign was launched by Department of Justice and NALSA.
This campaign seeks to actualise the aspiration of access to justice for citizens in India.

Rajasthan Passes Bill to Register Child Marriages
Rajasthan has passed a bill to amend an act on mandatory registration of marriages, including child marriages, with the opposition staging a walkout from the assembly. The assembly passed the Rajasthan Compulsory Registration of Marriages (Amendment) Bill, 2021, which amends the Rajasthan Compulsory Registration of Marriages Act, 2009, and under which information on child marriage must be furnished by their parents or guardians within 30 days of the wedding.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators walked out of the House and questioned the need for the registration of child marriages and demanded the withdrawal of the bill. The Congress government in the state, however, said that the bill has been brought on the basis of a Supreme Court order.

Indian Railways Launches "Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana"
Indian Railways took a leap in advancement of Skill India Mission by launching the "Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana (RKVY)" under the aegis of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)".
RKVY was launched by Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw.
This Mission will provide Railways an entry level training in industry relevant skills with the help of 75 Railway training institutes across India.
Under RKVY, training will be provided to 50000 candidates in a period of three years. In the initial phase, training will be provided to 1000 candidates. Youth will be trained in four trades namely, Electrician, Welder, Machinist and Fitter. Mission comprises of initial basic training of 100 hours. In later phases, zonal railways will add other trades to the training programs. Youth will be trained for free and participants will be selected from applications received online, on the basis of marks in matriculation. Candidates who are 10th passed and between 18-35 years shall be eligible to apply.

Yogi Announces Launch of UP Matra Bhumi Yojana
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath announced the launch of 'Uttar Pradesh Matra Bhumi Yojana' that seeks to make the common man a direct participant in the development work of the state and strengthen the participatory rural economy and infrastructure.
Under this, every person will get a chance to directly participate in various works of infrastructure development in villages. The government will bear 50 per cent of the total cost of the project, while the remaining 50 % will be contributed by the interested people. In return the project can be named after the relatives of the collaborators as per their wish.
