The Poligras Magic Skill Award is a fan-voted international recognition given by the FIH to the most creative and skilful play in the Pro League season. Deepika's victory is notable as it marks the first time an Indian—male or female—has won this award, highlighting the rise of Indian women in global hockey.
Droupadi Murmu Confers the Prestigious Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 Awards
Indore once again retained its title as India's cleanest city for the eighth consecutive year. Surat secured the second position, while Navi Mumbai ranked third in the central government's annual cleanliness survey. The ninth edition of the Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 Awards was conferred by President Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony held in New Delhi. The President highlighted that cleanliness is one of the most important aspects of the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision and urged countrymen to move forward in making the country clean, healthy and developed. She emphasised that cleanliness has been a core element of the country's cultural and spiritual consciousness since ancient times.

President Murmu Confers Kalinga Ratna Award 2024 to Dharmendra Pradhan
President Droupadi Murmu presented the Kalinga Ratna Award-2024 to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at an event in Cuttack, Odisha. The award ceremony was held during the 600th birth anniversary celebrations of Adikabi Sarala Das, a revered 15th-century Odia poet, organised by the Sarala Sahitya Sansad.
The Kalinga Ratna Award, presented annually by the Sarala Sahitya Sansad, recognises individuals who have made significant contributions in the fields of education, literature, culture, or public service.
Leila Aboulela, a Sudanese-Scottish writer, was named the winner of the 2025 PEN Pinter Prize. The award was announced in London by English PEN, in recognition of her powerful writing that explores faith, migration, and the lives of Muslim women. She will receive the award in a ceremony in October.
The PEN Pinter Prize is given to writers whose work shows truth, courage, and a deep understanding of society. Leila Aboulela was chosen for her honest and brave storytelling.

Telangana Wins National Award for Battery Manufacturing
Telangana bagged the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) Industry Excellence Award 2025 under the category of State Leadership – Battery Manufacturing.
