India Hosts First APAC-AIG Meeting

India is hosting the Asia Pacific Accident Investigation Group (APAC-AIG) meeting and workshop for the first time from October 28 to 31, 2025. This significant aviation safety event brings together around 90 representatives from the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) member states in the Asia Pacific region, as well as experts from global organisations. Organised by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the event reflects India's growing leadership in global aviation safety practices. The event was inaugurated by Union Minister of Civil Aviation Rammohan Naidu.
The APAC-AIG meeting is an annual ICAO platform where member states from the Asia-Pacific region collaborate on key issues related to aircraft accident and incident investigations.

State Tourism Ministers Meet Regarding New Initiatives at Udaipur, Rajasthan

The Ministry of Tourism convened a two-day State Tourism Ministers Meet in Udaipur, Rajasthan, bringing together Tourism Ministers and senior officials from all States and Union Territories.
This meeting served as a key milestone in advancing the Prime Minister's vision of 'One State: One Global Destination' — a call to develop at least one globally benchmarked tourist destination in every State and UT. The initiative reflected the Union Budget 2025–26 announcements, which outlined a twin strategy for Destination Development and Destination Management as part of India's tourism transformation agenda and the Viksit Bharat roadmap.

India signs MoU with Mongolia to Boost People-to-people Ties, Announces Free E-visas

India and Mongolia, in October 2025, took a significant step forward in strengthening their cultural and developmental partnership, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi announcing free e-visas for Mongolian citizens and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cultural and people-to-people ties.
"The MoU signed between the Autonomous Hill Development Council and Mongolia's Arkhangai Province will give a fresh boost to our cultural ties... Even though we do not share a border, India has always considered Mongolia a close neighbour. We will continue to strengthen people-to-people ties. We have decided to provide free e-visas to Mongolian citizens. And we will sponsor the annual visit of young cultural ambassadors from Mongolia to India," PM Modi said.

Travel and Food Network (TFN), a global digital media and entertainment brand headquartered in India, announced the launch of its AI Trip Planner, the country's first AI-driven holiday planning platform by any Indian publisher.
The platform, live on www.tfninternational.com, combines advanced artificial intelligence with TFN's editorial expertise to generate hyper-personalized itineraries, and closing the loop by providing expert assistance to complete the booking of the personalised itinerary, through a curated network of travel partners.
The launch aligned with World Tourism Day's call for a Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism. Marking a pivotal step where AI becomes the traveler's compass, making journeys smarter, more personal, and future-ready.

Yaanam 2025: Kerala Tourism to Host India's First Travel Literary Festival

Kerala Tourism will host India's first travel literary festival, 'Yaanam 2025: Tales, Trails & Journeys', from October 17 to 19 2025 at Ranga Kala Kendram, Varkala, Kerala.
The three-day festival will bring together travellers, writers, artists and adventurers to share stories and experiences through panels, trails and performances. Designed to spotlight Varkala as an experiential destination, Yaanam also fosters cultural exchange, narrative tourism and sustainable travel. The festival complements Kerala Tourism's innovative initiatives, strengthening the state's global tourism appeal.

Delhi Government Inaugurates Global Wildlife Fair to Promote Eco-Tourism

The Delhi Government inaugurated the Global Wildlife Fair at the national capital. Addressing the event, Culture and Tourism Minister of Delhi, Kapil Mishra, said that the event will unlock the city's potential for wildlife and eco-tourism. He highlighted that tourism in Delhi has mostly been focused on historical and archaeological sites, but this step will help explore the capital's rich biodiversity.
The three-day Global Wildlife Fair is being hosted in New Delhi till the 12th of this month, bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders for promoting wildlife conservation and eco-tourism.
