Fifth Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022 to be Celebrated from 1st to 30th Sept. 2022
The Ministry of Women and Child Development is celebrating the 5th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022 across the nation from September 1 till September 30. This year, the objective of the Poshan Maah is to trigger Poshan Maah through Gram Panchayats as Poshan Panchayats with key focus on "Mahila aur Swasthya" and "Bacha aur Shiksha". Rashtriya Poshan Maah serves as a platform to bring focus to the discourse of nutrition and good health.
In the 5th Rashtriya Poshan Maah the aim is to convert Jan Andolan into Jan Bhagidari to fulfil the Prime Minister's vision of a Suposhit Bharat.

Satyajit Ray's Agantuk to be Showcased at Toronto Film Festival
Part of the Cinametheque section, Agantuk will be screened as part of the 2022 edition of the 11-day festival, which commences on September 8. The screening will also mark the world premiere of a 4K or high-quality digital restoration of the original movie, which was originally released in 1991. This version comes to TIFF courtesy the National Film Development Corporation of India and the National Film Archive of India.
Agantuk is an important film in Ray's oeuvre and one he was quite proud of.

Vedic Planetarium, World's Largest Temple
Bigger than the Taj Mahal and St Paul's Cathedral in Vatican, an under-construction temple in West Bengal's Mayapur will be the largest religious monument in the world. Set to be inaugurated in 2024 after a two-year delay caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Temple of Vedic Planetarium in Nadia district will reportedly replace Cambodia's 12th century-built Angkor Wat temple complex, spread over 400 acres of land, as the world's largest religious structure.
A project of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), the Mayapur temple being built along the Ganga River aims to make the age-old Vedic culture and traditions accessible to all.

8th International Film Festival of Shimla Begins at Gaiety Theater
A three-day 8th edition of the International Film Festival of Shimla began at Gaiety Theater, in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
As per reports, a total of 86 films would be screened and 50 directors from India and abroad will participate. During the three days film festival, 27 films in the international category, 34 Indian films, 4 Himachali films, and 15 National Award-winning films would be screened.
Films across 17 countries – Canada, America, Lebanon, Spain, Iran, Taiwan, Brazil, Iceland, Singapore, Mexico, Australia, Greece, Belgium, Denmark, and Russia would shown. These include documentaries, animation, features, and short films. A total of 16 National Award Award-winning films received from the Directorate of Film Festivals, would also be screened at the festival.
A film exhibition organized by the National Film Archives of India, Pune would be displayed at the venue which would help the audience to enhance their knowledge about the film. Movies will also be shown for the prisoners at Kanda Model Central Jail, which will also give them an opportunity to get acquainted with different dimensions of cinema.
