Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission Bags SKOCH Award

The Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM) bagged the SKOCH Award under the theme 'State of Governance India 2047' in Gold category for its outstanding efforts in creating marketing avenues for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in the Union Territory. The SKOCH award marked a significant milestone for JKRLM, being the first award received since the inception of the scheme. This recognition represents a remarkable accomplishment for the organization.
The award is a recognition for the JKRLM to the hard work and dedication of the JKRLM team, especially its Mission Director, who was instrumental in driving the Mission's major goal of creating marketing opportunities from district-level avenues to national-level platforms. The JKRLM introduced several groundbreaking initiatives that have transformed the lives of countless women associated with Self Help Groups. The AVSAR scheme, Umeed Women's Haat, and District Rural Haat, SHG products available on e-commerce platforms are prime examples of these initiatives, which have not only provided a platform for SHGs to showcase their products but have also opened up new marketing avenues for them.

Modi Becomes First Indian PM to Receive France's Highest Award (14)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred with the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, France's highest award, by French President Emmanuel Macron.
He is the first Indian Prime Minister to receive the honour.
The award ceremony took place at the Elysee Palace in Paris.
The Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour is the highest French honour in military or civilian orders.
In the past, the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor has been received by select prominent leaders and eminent personalities from across the world.
These include late South African President Nelson Mandela, King Charles III, former Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, former UN Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali, and many others.
Established in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte, it has been retained (with occasional slight alterations) by all later French governments and regimes.
The order's motto is Honneur et Patrie (Honour and Fatherland), its seat is the Palais de la Légion d'Honneur next to the Musée d'Orsay.

J&K Bank Wins Award for Best Performance in CASA

J&K Bank was felicitated for the Best Performance in CASA-India (1st Runner up in Small Bank Category) at ICC Emerging Asia Banking Conclave & Awards 2022. The event saw participation of scores of banks from India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Mayanmar.
Bank's Branch Manager Goa received the award at a grand function organized by Indian Chamber of Commerce in Goa.

PM Narendra Modi to be Awarded Prestigious Lokmanya Tilak Award 2023

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was selected for the prestigious Lokmanya Tilak Award 2023. An official announcement in this regard was made by the President of Tilak Smarak Trust in Pune. The award will be conferred by the hands of President of the Trust Deepak Tilak on August 1, the death anniversary of Lokmanya Tilak.
PM Modi was selected for the award for the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat which has helped the country climb the ladder of progress, and for awakening the feeling of patriotism among the citizens, and putting India on the global map.

NLC India Ltd Bags GeM Award in "Timely Payments (CPSEs)" Category

NLC India Limited bagged GeM award in the category 'Timely Payments (CPSEs)' for the year 2023. NLCIL, which is a navratna company under the Ministry of Coal, got this award for its outstanding contribution in improving the reliability of e-market practices in line with the vision of GeM. K. Mohan Reddy, Director (Planning and Projects) received the award on behalf of NLC India Limited. CMD, NLCIL Prasanna Kumar Mottupalli, complimented the officials of NLCIL for their efforts and wished them more success in future.
NLCIL registered and on-boarded GeM portal in the year 2017. Its growth in GeM procurement started from a small value of Rs. 2.21 crore during the year 2018-19. After that the company registered an impressive growth of Rs. 984.93 crore during the year FY 2022-23.

Britian Gives Environmental Award to Indian Conservationists

King Charles III and Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom presented the prestigious Elephant Family environmental award to Indian conservationists. The award ceremony recognized filmmaker Kartiki Gonsalves, the creative mind behind the Oscar-winning documentary 'The Elephant Whisperers', and the Real Elephant Collective (TREC), a group of 70 Adivasi artists. Both Gonsalves and TREC were acknowledged for their exceptional storytelling, advocacy for coexistence, and dedication to preserving India's natural world.
Kartiki Gonsalves, the debut director of the acclaimed documentary 'The Elephant Whisperers,' received the Tara Award from King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The Tara Award, inspired by the sacred bond between elephants and humans, acknowledges outstanding accomplishments in storytelling and advocacy for coexistence.
Meanwhile, the Real Elephant CollectiveTREC was awarded the Mark Shand Award, named in honour of the late founder of Elephant Family – an international NGO dedicated to protecting the Asian elephant from extinction in the wild.
