The award ceremony will take place on May 31, 2025, at the HITEX Arena in Hyderabad, Telangana, and will celebrate his unwavering dedication to social welfare through the Sood Charity Foundation.
Sonu Sood is in the spotlight as he has been selected to receive the Humanitarian Award by the Miss World Organisation, marking international recognition for his extensive humanitarian contributions during the COVID-19 crisis. In addition to the award, he will also serve as a grand finale judge for the Miss World pageant.

This year (2025), The New York Times emerged as the top winner, securing four major awards, while The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, and The New Yorker also earned notable accolades for their investigative depth, breaking news coverage, and narrative storytelling. In May 2025, his relentless efforts were recognised globally as he became the first Indian lawyer to receive the prestigious Medal of Honour from the World Jurist Association at the World Law Congress 2025 in the Dominican Republic. This global recognition is more than a personal honour—it reflects a lifelong journey of dedicated service to children and the strategic use of courts and the rule of law to secure justice for those who have been silenced, exploited, and forgotten.
