Indiatourism Delhi Launches 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' And 'Dekho Apna Desh Campaign'

Indiatourism Delhi launched a week-long (from 15th August 2021 to 21st August 2021) Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Dekho Apna Desh promotional campaign at Dwarka, New Delhi.
The Indiatourism Delhi stall was inaugurated by Anil Oraw, Regional Director (North), Indiatourism Delhi. There was huge participation from all walks of life.
The weeklong celebration includes dissemination of tourist information under Dekho Apna Desh, spot quiz contest for children, cultural programme and singing of Rashtra Gaan.

Four Indian Airports Finds Place in Skytrax's Top 100 Airport List

The Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in New Delhi has found place among world's top 50 best airports in the 2021 Skytrax World Airport Awards. Delhi airport has improved its overall ranking by five places. In 2020, it was placed at 50th spot. With this, it has also become the first Indian airport to be placed among top 50 list. The Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, has been named the "Best Airport in the World".

Online Programme for Tourist Facilitators

The Ministry of Tourism has launched an online certificate programme with the objective of creating a pool of well-trained and professional tourist facilitators across the country.
The Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), which is an autonomous institute of the ministry, is the implementing agency for the programme called Incredible India Tourist Facilitator/ Incredible India Tourist Guide (IITF/IITG), which is a digital initiative.

Delhi Airport Bags Award for Best Facility in India and Central Asia

The Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi has bagged the 2021 Skytrax World Airport Awards crown for best airport in India and Central Asia for the third consecutive year.
The recognition, the airport industry's most prestigious accolade, is awarded on the basis of an assessment of customer service and facilities at over 550 airports. The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a GMR Group-consortium that operates the facility, made the announcement in a press statement. The Delhi Airport is the only Indian facility among the world's top 50 airports.
The airport has also moved from 50th to 45th in the overall ranking of the world's top 50 airports.

It provides inventory, competitive prices, and state-of-the-art technology directly from airlines, railways, hotels, trips, wholesalers and aggregators.
