Hotels and Restaurants to be Audited
The Delhi government and the municipal corporations have been ordered to carry out an audit at all hotels and restaurants in the capital to check how accessible they are to persons with disabilities. Besides infrastructure such as ramps and lifts, hotels and restaurants are also required to have special menus printed in large fonts and Braille.
The audit has been ordered by the Delhi state commissioner for persons with disabilities, a quasi-judicial body.
In Delhi, there are more than 400 hotels and restaurants that are associated with the Federation of Hotels and Restaurants Association of India.

Jammu Kashmir to Become Adventure Sports Tourism Hub
K. K. Sharma, advisor to the Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor, efforts are underway to promote adventure sports and tourism in a big way to make Jammu and Kashmir one of the most sought-after destinations globally. He also stated that the Union Territory is replete with topographical and geographical features that are necessary for promoting adventure sports, tourism and the requisite mechanism has been put in place for roping in major international players. It will ensure that Jammu and Kashmir emerges as one of the most sought-after destinations in this category, which would in turn give the tourist industry a much needed boost and fillip.
