HP Govt to Launch Employment Scheme for Urban Areas
Looking to revive the coronavirus-hit economy of the state, the Himachal Pradesh government decided to launch a programme guaranteeing at least 120 days'' employment to those living in urban areas.
The cabinet decided to launch the Mukhya Mantri Shahari Rojgar Guarantee Yojna, under which 120 days'' assured employment will be provided to people living in urban areas.

'One Nation, One Ration Card' Scheme: 5 More States Join the Initiative
Five more states, including Bihar, UP, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Daman and Diu, have been integrated with the 'one nation, one ration card' scheme Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said.
Under the 'one nation, one ration card' initiative, eligible beneficiaries would be able to avail their entitled food grains under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) from any fair-price shop in the country. The scheme was announced in June, 2019.

'Vidya Deevena' Scheme to Benefit 14 Lakh College Students in Andhra Pradesh
Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched 'Jagananna Vidya Deevena', a fee reimbursement scheme that would benefit 14 lakh college students in the State.
From the 2020–21 academic year, the fee reimbursement amount would be credited directly into the accounts of the mothers instead of that of the students in four instalments.

In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan launched the Jeevan Shakti Yojana. Under this scheme, women in urban areas can earn by making masks at home.
The government will pay them Rs 11 per mask.

Government Reconstitutes National Shipping Board
The government has approved reconstitution of the National Shipping Board to be headed by former Director General of Shipping Malini Shankar.
The National Shipping Board (NSB) is the highest advisory body on matters related to Indian shipping including the development there of and on such other matters arising out of the Merchant Shipping Act.
The shipping ministry has approved reconstitution of the 16-member NSB, which will be headed by former Director General of Shipping Malini Shankar, as per a communication from the ministry to the DG Shipping.
NAFED To Distribute About 6 Lakh Metric Tonne Pulses Under PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana
A massive operation for transport and milling of pulses is underway in the country to distribute one kilogram of pulses to about twenty crore households for three months under the Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
This operation entails lifting of un-milled pulses from the godowns, getting the pulses cleaned and then reaching them to the states for distribution. Under the scheme, NAFED will distribute around 5.88 lakh metric tonnes pulses to about 20 crore National Food Security Act households through ration shops for three months.
