Muthiah's Book on TN Sports' Modern History Launched
Tamil Nadu's Quest For Gold, a book that provides a comprehensive look into the modern history of sports in the State, by the late historian and chronicler S. Muthiah was launched.
Vinod Kumar Tiwari, director - International & NOC Relations, Olympic Council of Asia, released the book.
The book is an initiative of the Tamil Nadu State Olympic Association (TNOA) president N. Ramachandran.
The book provides a commentary on 32 major sports. Each chapter (43 in all) intends to give an insight into the origin of a sport, the journey of its development and infrastructure, the remarkable events and achievements of the sportspersons, their coaches and the diligent administrators.

Book Released By Indian Ambassador To The Netherlands
A book penned by Indian Ambassador to the Netherlands Venu Rajamony titled 'India and the Netherlands - Past, Present and Future,' was released in Amsterdam.
The book gives an insight into the cross-cultural legacy between the two countries, and was released at a function attended by the king and queen of the Netherlands.
The first copy was received by King Willem Alexander in the presence of a large number of distinguished guests, including the Dutch Minister for Education, Deputy Mayor of Amsterdam and ambassadors of 26 countries.
The seminar, jointly organised by the Embassy of India and the Royal Asian Art Society, was held at the Rijksmuseum (National Museum), Amsterdam.
Book The RSS: Roadmaps for the 21st Century Launched
A new book, 'The RSS: Roadmaps For the 21st Century', written by Sunil Ambekar, the national organising secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the RSS was launched.
The book, published by Rupa Publications, was launched by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on October 1, 2019.
Ambekar, who hails from Nagpur and has spent about 40 years in the RSS. His book contains a futuristic vision of what the RSS should do in the years to come.
