Uttar Pradesh Govt. Plans 'Ramaland' in Ayodhya Modelled on Disneyland
Ayodhya as a global tourism hotspot, the Uttar Pradesh government is planning to develop a theme park 'Ramaland' modelled on Disneyland to narrate the story of Lord Ram. With Ramaland, the tourism department is looking to attract children and adults alike to showcase the legendary tales from Ramayan in the template of 'learning with entertainment'.
The deliberate transformation of Ayodhya is estimated to value Rs. 30,000 crore to the exchequer below 'Ayodhya Imaginative and prescient 2047' theme. These funds are targetted to be invested in about 260 initiatives pertaining to tourism, aviation, infrastructure, housing, medical, vitality, tradition, city improvement, transport and so on.
The expenditure will likely be incurred collectively by the central and the UP governments. These initiatives embrace Sensible Metropolis Mission, widening of roads, fashionable bus terminals, unclogging the overhead electrical energy provide cables, beautification of ghats, cultural centres and so on.

The 30th Edition of Arabian Travel Market
The 30th edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) was held at Dubai World Trade Center with a significant presence from India. The Indian pavilion was one of the largest at the event and attracted a lot of attention.
With over 100 participants, including state tourism boards, hotels, and tour operators, the pavilion showcased the diverse cultural and tourism offerings of the country. The Indian Ambassador to the UAE, Sunjay Sudhir inaugurated the Incredible India pavilion and other state pavilions. This year's event focused on working towards reducing carbon emissions in the travel industry, and the Indian pavilion highlighted the country's eco-friendly initiatives, including sustainable tourism practices and responsible wildlife tourism.
Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023 shined a spotlight on India's booming outbound tourism market.
This year's (2023) event saw an increase of 27% in the number of exhibitors from 150 countries.

Qantas Picks First Female CEO as Alan Joyce Prepares to Depart
Australia's flagship carrier, Qantas Airways Ltd (QAN.AX), named Finance Chief Vanessa Hudson as its next Chief Executive Officer, making her the first woman to lead the century-old airline.
Hudson will in November take over from Alan Joyce, whose 15 years in the job has made him one of the longest-serving CEOs of a major Australian company, and a high-profile figure in the global aviation industry.
Hudson will be one of the few female executives leading a major company in Australia, although rival carrier Virgin Australia also has a woman as its CEO, Jayne Hrdlicka.

Air India, Sabre Corporation Sign Multi-year Deal for Global Travel Access
Air India announced a new multi-year deal with Nasdaq-listed Sabre Corporation that will allow travel agents and corporations worldwide to access the Indian airline's fares and seats via Sabre's global travel marketplace.
Air India is utilising Sabre's consultancy expertise and distribution services to help determine optimal routes for its existing and new fleets.

Centre to develop 50 new tourist destinations
The Centre planed to develop 50 new tourist destinations across the country with a focus on green tourism.
Tourism Ministry was also exploring promotion of digitalization, skill development, promotion of MSMEs and destination management, Union Tourism Secretary Arvind Singh said.
Addressing the G20 Tourism Expo in Jaipur, he said the government was also focusing on robust infrastructure development. "We are taking a 360-degree view of developing the tourism infrastructure with focus on enhancing rail, road, and Air connectivity. We have recommended 59 new routes to the Ministry of Civil Aviation under the Udaan Scheme, which is very successful and out of these 51 Tourism routes have already been operationalized".
